He decided to skip the early grades and go straight into Grade 3 Acoustic guitar, and smashed it with a mighty 84% with 9 individual distinctions.
The examiner said he demonstrated
'Accuracy of pitch and rhythmic placement, command of instrument, and Improvisation and Interpretation was outstanding'
An excellent achievement and a very talented young guitarist!
A pleasure to teach and see him progress so well, this guy can go as far as he wants in the music world.

A lifetime of my Dad teaching me, its nice to return the favour if only in a small way.
This guy (along with my mum of course) taught me to stand, walk, eat, speak, and most of all brought me up with excellent music!

Congratulations to my amazing student Anish for passing his Acoustic guitar RSL Rockschool Grade Debut exam.
Not only passed but with a Distinction. Totally smashed it !
The examiner said:
'Well shaped chords, practically seamless with the backing track, and very secure technical exercises'
An excellent achievement, Anish worked hard to perfect each element with the aim to get this level of result.
A fantastic guitarist and great fun to teach.
Looking forward to the next 8 grades! And watch out for this guy, he could well be famous one day 🙂

A very nice pre Christmas present 😊
My amazing talented student Mika does it once again and smashes his Acoustic Guitar RSL Rockschool Grade 3 exam !
Ticking them off at a rapid pace now, and pulled this difficult exam off with an outstanding 82%
RSL commented as follows :
'An expressive and commanding performance of the material, and secure understanding of musical structure evidenced through transitions of phrases, bars and sections'
What out for this guy in the future 🤘
Back to back outstanding achievements for such a young guitarist, who worked very hard, was very determined, and really great fun to teach.
We are now going straight into Grade 4 so here's to more success!
