It isn't just our little muddy booters who have all the fun in the garden! This week, our grown-ups were getting thoroughly involved in our caterpillar adventures too.

Alongside exploring the garden and learning how these tiny creatures grow, we spent time practicing fine motor skills with our caterpillar threading exercise. Threading cheerios onto pipe cleaners took plenty of concentration and coordination and it was definitely a team effort to make sure they were saved for threading rather than being munched!

A huge thank you to all the brilliant mums, dads, and grandparents who joined us at BCA this week. We absolutely love seeing you get stuck into the outdoor play and nature crafts alongside your little ones!

Did you know that dragonflies are older than the dinosaurs? πŸ¦– They have been around for over 300 million years!

From their incredible flying skills, they can fly up, down, sideways, and even backwards, to their super eyesight that allows them to see colours we can't, there is so much to love about these fascinating creatures.

We would love to see you enjoying your dragonfly crafts and adventures, so please don't forget to tag us .boots.

What a wonderfully soggy, splash-filled week in the garden! 🌧️🐌 June is the start of summertime, and while the sun was hiding, our little muddy booters made the absolute most of the rainy weather by heading out on an exciting Summer Scavenger Hunt! πŸ”βœ¨

From spotting busy little ants under the sheltered paving to searching for ladybirds hiding from the raindrops in the rosemary, the children were absolute experts at finding signs of life. We also talked about how all this lovely rain is exactly what the garden needs to help our summer treats, like strawberries and potatoes, grow big and juicy! πŸ“πŸ₯”

Thank you to everyone who braved the puddles and joined us today, don't forget to keep an eye out for those garden minibeasts at home in the damp patches this weekend! πŸ•·οΈβ˜”
