Ormonde High School Built in 1954 as Ormonde Drive County Secondary School, became a comprehensive school in 1972.

It merged in 1982 to form Maghull High School Let's share some positive memories !! ..... and some photos please !

Does anyone know if Maghull High School is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the opening of the original school on that site, Ormonde High School (Ormonde Secondary Modern) in 1954 ?

Just in case there was any confusion , it is Margaret Rimmer who has just passed away, (Miss Rimmer teaching PE at MGS and PE/RE later at Maghull High) not the English teacher Maureen Rimmer from Ormonde Drive. Thanks ( information from FB Admin, Maghull Grammar )

Does anyone have any more photos of the school, Coniston Camp or events. I have a very limited range of choices ! Still waiting for a photo of the dreadful 'fried egg' uniform badge that we had to wear when we became a comprehensive school in 1972 (I think that was the date).

Wishing everyone ever connected with Ormonde Drive school (whichever version) a very Happy Christmas. Stay safe.

Could I politely request that people do not use this page for personal and abusive comments about either members of staff or fellow pupils. I appreciate that not everyone had a great time at school for a wide variety of reasons and this page has allowed some general comments to pass, to acknowledge that reality. However, the moderators have been horrified by some of the inappropriate personal comments posted today, showing the dangerous side of social media.
Many people have enjoyed sharing memories through this page but I will be forced to delete the whole page if such comments continue. Thank you for your consideration of others.
