🌿 Kiddies Castle Outdoor Area – Summer Plans 🌿
We’re hoping to make some much‑needed changes to our outdoor space over the summer to give our little ones an even better place to play, learn and explore.

If you’d like to support our JustGiving page, every donation, big or small, helps us move closer to creating the outdoor area our children deserve.

🌼 June Learning at Kiddies Castle 🌼

June has been a truly special month in preschool. We celebrated so many important milestones and enjoyed a wonderful mix of learning, fun, and togetherness as we reached the end of our year.

🎓 Graduation We were incredibly proud watching our boys and girls graduate from preschool. Their confidence, kindness, and independence have grown so much — they are more than ready for their next big adventure.

💙 Father’s Day Tea A lovely morning filled with smiles, treats, and precious memories. Thank you to all the dads, grandads, and special grown‑ups who joined us.

🏃‍♂️ Sports Day with Ronan from Fit Minds The children had a brilliant time staying active, moving their bodies, and cheering each other on. A huge thank you to Ronan for bringing such energy and encouragement.

🐛Tales of the Wild We had an exciting visit from Tales of the Wild, where the children got to meet and learn about a range of amazing animals up close. It was a brilliant hands‑on experience that sparked curiosity, confidence, and lots of brave little smiles.

👩‍🏫 P.1 Teacher Visits Our upcoming P.1 children had the chance to meet their new teachers, helping them feel confident and excited about the transition ahead.

🤸‍♀️ Finishing Our 4‑Week Block of Gymnastics The children completed their gymnastics programme with Inspire Gymnastics, building balance, strength, and coordination through fun, playful movement.

☀️ Our Topics: Summer & Moving On to Primary School We explored all things summer — sunshine, holidays, outdoor play — while also preparing for the big step into P.1. The children have shown such readiness, resilience, and joy throughout.

💜 A Huge Thank You We want to express our heartfelt thanks to all our parents and the local community for your incredible support throughout the year. Your kindness, encouragement, and involvement make such a difference.

We will miss each and every one of our wonderful children. They have filled our days with laughter, learning, and love. We wish them all the very best as they move on to P.1 — they are ready to shine.

🌟 May Learning at Kiddies Castle! 🌟

👧👦 All About Me This month we focused on All About Me. The children enjoyed talking about themselves, their families and the things that make them unique. They created beautiful self‑portraits and completed a body diagram using natural resources to represent different body parts — a brilliant way to explore identity, language, creativity and early science.

🚑 Visit from the Paramedics We were delighted to welcome two paramedics who gave the children the chance to explore the ambulance. This was incredibly exciting and helped the children learn about people who help us, emergency services and how to stay safe.

📚 Storytime with the Librarian We also had a lovely visit from the librarian, who read stories and sparked lots of imagination and early literacy skills.

🤸‍♂️ Inspire Gymnastics –We have started a four‑week block with Inspire Gymnastics, and the children are thoroughly enjoying it. These sessions support, Gross motor development, Balance and coordination, Core strength, Listening and following instructions, Confidence and resilience and Turn‑taking and teamwork

🌿 Outdoor Learning We continue to make the most of our outdoor area every day. The children are exploring, building, climbing, creating and developing independence through real‑life, hands‑on experiences. A Big Thank You A huge thank you to Callan for making us two fantastic mud kitchens. The children will get endless opportunities for sensory play, imagination, social skills and early maths and science through this and another big thank you to a very kind member of our community for donating an outdoor kitchen. This will be used daily and will bring so much joy and learning to our outdoor space.

A huge thank you to all the parents, families and supporters who came out today for our Sponsored Walk to help raise money for our outdoor area.
We are absolutely delighted to share that from today’s walk alone we raised an amazing £2,052! 🎉👏

🌼 April Learning at Kiddies Castle! 🌼

April has been a month full of excitement, exploration and new opportunities for our preschool children. After finally gaining access to our outdoor area, the children have been making fantastic use of it every day. They’ve enjoyed a wide range of resources that encourage sharing, turn‑taking, teamwork, fine motor skills and gross motor development. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they play, climb, build and explore together.

This month we have been learning all about the important people who help us. A huge thank you to one of our parents who came in to talk to the children about her job as a hairdresser. This was such a fun, hands‑on and engaging experience — the children absolutely loved it. In our role‑play areas, the children have been busy pretending to be doctors, dentists, firefighters, builders, plumbers and more. These activities have sparked brilliant conversations, imaginative play and lots of learning about the world around them.

We continued exploring our spring theme by learning about new life. The children have been observing caterpillars and tadpoles, watching closely as they grow and change. We also planted green beans and monitored their progress — a lovely way to learn about nature, responsibility and patience. We were delighted to visit New Row Primary School for some spring activities. The children had a fantastic time and enjoyed being part of a wider community experience.
