Happy Days Nursery The Nursery caters for children aged 6 weeks to 11 year olds. Providing a secure, caring, happy and The baby yard and our large back yard have safety surface.

Happy Days Nursery originated back in February 1999 and it then moved to the Station Road in September 2004. The Nursery is a small family run business owed and Managed by Grainne McGuckin (nee Kyne). Our Nursery is purpose built, each room is well equipped for each developmental stage and provides large areas of outdoor play for every age group. All yards are fitted with high fencing and gates to

ensure the safety for our children and staff. In 2009 & 2012 we achieved the "All Ireland Centre of Excellence Award". All our staff have received their childcare qualifications, access Ni Clearance, Safe Guarding & Child Protection Training, Paediatric First Aid along with many other qualifications. We have a qualified cook on site providing nutritious home cooked meals. Special Dietary Requirements are catered for. The Nursery is designed to facilitate additional needs as there are no ramps/steps, we provide clear access and wide door frames. we work closely with other professionals such as social services, Environmental health, Educational psychologist, Physiotherapists, Health & safety Consultants and Diabetes Nursing staff.

As we reflect on our 27th Anniversary today, we remember one special man who made it all possible, my dad Brendan Kyne. ๐Ÿ’™ We hope we continue to make your proud!

We cannot believe itโ€™s been 27 years from Happy Days first opened its doors.

We have been truly blessed with all our children, families and staff. This would not have been possible without you all.

We continue to strive and be the best we possibly can be providing excellent quality childcare to all our past, current and future children and helping children reach their full potential and providing the best start in their Early Childhood Years.

Our staff continue to work extremely hard, have been loyal and supportive. A great team to have by our side. Thank you to you all ๐Ÿ’–

We have been informed of some school closures tomorrow (Tuesday) due to the yellow weather warning for snow and ice.

Parents please note:

๐Ÿ“Œ Full day care is available if required โ€“ please contact the Nursery Mobile.

๐Ÿšซ All Nursery & Primary school runs will be suspended tomorrow for the safety of our staff and children.

Admissions criteria for applications to Pre-school and Primary One for September 2026 are now live on our website.

It is important that you read the published admissions criteria for each of the Pre-school settings or Primary schools you wish to list on your application.

Applications open on EA Connect at 12 noon on 7 January 2026 for Pre-school and Primary One, and we recommend you list at least four pre-school settings or primary schools in your order of preference .

Our Happy Days team is growing and we have the following positions available:
โ€จโญ๏ธRole 1: 24 hours per week โ€” Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdayโ€จโญ๏ธRole 2: 30 hours per week โ€” Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 6:00pm

Applicants must hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).

โ€จTraining in Safeguarding and Child Protection can be provided if required, and Paediatric First Aid is desirable.
