We are currently looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible Nursery Practitioner to join our team on a bank staff basis.🏡

This role would suit someone who enjoys working across different age groups, can be flexible with their availability and is looking for the opportunity to gain regular hours within a busy and growing childcare setting.
For the successful bank staff member, there will also be the opportunity to move into a maternity cover contract, working 16 contracted hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional overtime hours when available.🤍✨

The role will involve:
• Supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing through play and daily routines
• Working alongside our existing nursery team across the setting
• Providing cover for staff absence, holidays and additional staffing requirements
• Supporting a safe, caring and stimulating environment
• Following setting policies, safeguarding procedures and CIW requirements
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
We are looking for someone who:
• Is caring, dependable and enthusiastic about working with children
• Can be flexible with shifts Monday to Friday
• Works well as part of a team
• Holds a relevant childcare qualification, or is working towards one
• Has previous childcare experience where possible
• Holds an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service(or willing to complete one)
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children

We’re looking for a kind, patient and enthusiastic Level 3 Childcare Practitioner to join our Treehouse family, working on a 1:1 basis with a child with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping every child feel included, understood and supported to develop at their own pace. 🌳✨

The right person will be caring, reliable and confident in building strong relationships, following the child’s individual needs and interests, and working closely alongside our existing team and the child’s family.

🌱 Level 3 Childcare qualification
🌱 Previous experience supporting children with ALN - desirable
🌱 Driver – desirable
🌱 A patient, nurturing and child-centred approach
🌱 Ability to work positively as part of our friendly team

Part-time position with the opportunity to pick up additional/overtime hours within the setting.

🌳U N I F O R M🌳

So recently we posted about Staffs summer uniform & on that note we felt it’s important to us we share why we believe our explorers uniform is about much more than simply looking smart. The shades of green were chosen to reflect everything The Treehouse represents — nature, growth, adventure and giving our little explorers a safe place to branch out, learn and flourish. 💚

Wearing their Treehouse clothing helps children feel that strong sense of Cynefin. It creates a shared identity and lets them know that they are an important part of our little community. For many children, putting on their uniform also becomes part of their routine, helping them recognise that it is a Treehouse day and preparing them for the fun ahead🏡🤍

It means children can fully enjoy nursery life without anyone worrying about their special clothes becoming covered in paint, mud, food, glue or whatever else their imagination leads them to! 🌱✨

Our days are filled with messy play, outdoor adventures and hands-on learning, so clothing that can be played in, explored in and washed again is always a winner.

Having a uniform also removes the pressure of deciding what to wear each morning. Every child arrives as an equal member of The Treehouse family, and parents never need to feel that there is any competition to have the newest or best-dressed outfit. Just comfortable little explorers, ready to play. 🌳

📚C W M F E L I N📚

With Holiday Club, we are excited to know all of our Out of School Club faces will be attending for day session to enjoy everything they have planned throughout the summer! 🌿☀️

During some recent admin time, we reviewed our September intake for Breakfast & Afterschool Club and were completely overwhelmed to see that we are already booked for 21 separate children attending these session from Cwmfelin Primary School alone!✨👏

This makes us incredibly proud. We understand that families may have other, more local options to the school so knowing that we have been trusted to maintain friendships, build new ones and act as a bridge between children in different schools means so much to our whole team.🌱

We are also extremely lucky to have dedicated staff members, appropriately insured vehicles, a 7 seater car and team members who are happy to complete walking school runs & for this we need to always acknowledge and appreciate✨However, even with this flexibility, we must carefully monitor our numbers to ensure every session can be accepted and that we can continue providing the safe & reliable service our families expect. Our priority has always been providing convenience and flexibility
for families, rather than simply increasing numbers, and that is something we are very proud of🙌🏻🍃

With this in mind, we are now only able to offer THREE remaining Breakfast and Afterschool Club spaces for children attending Cwmfelin Primary, until members of our team return from maternity leave🚗

We would like to thank every family for your continued kindness, loyalty and trust. We cannot wait to see all of our Out of School Club children again over the coming weeks!We never expected to be as busy in these sessions so thank you for another win on our vision board 💚

We currently still have availability for children attending both St Mary’s and St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School and Ysgol Cynwyd Sant due to these being walking distance

🌱E N D 🌱T E R M🌱

Today doesn’t only mark the end of term — it marks the beginning of a brand-new adventure for some of our little explorers. 🤎🌿

Today, we celebrated our Class of 2026 with their graduation ceremony, and we honestly cannot wait to share it all with you over the coming days. For now, we are still processing every emotion, wiping away the tears and looking back on the day with the biggest smiles and the fullest hearts.

This graduation felt especially meaningful because so many of this year’s class have been with us throughout our own journey too. They have grown alongside The Treehouse — watching rooms change, spaces develop, new ideas come to life, more friend developing as we got busier each month and our nursery become everything we once dreamed it could be✨🌱

Some arrived when we were still finding our feet, and together we have learned, grown, laughed, explored and created memories that will stay with us forever which is why today is so special🏡✨

We are still so excited for Holiday Club and all the amazing adventures we already have planned, but today is about stopping for a moment and appreciating what truly matters.
🍃The trust every family has placed in us.
🍃The loyalty you have shown us.
🍃The memories each child has given us.
🍃And the privilege of being part of such an important chapter in their lives.

To our Class of 2026 — thank you for growing with us, believing in us and filling The Treehouse with so much love, laughter and personality.

We are endlessly proud of you, and although today brought plenty of tears, we know the next adventure is only just beginning. 🎓✨

🍡T R A N S I T I O N🍡

Today’s Tasty Tuesday was a little different, as our grown up explorers carefully selected a small group of toddlers to enjoy the cooking space together rather than our traditional “who wants to cook with us?!?”

Over the coming weeks, many of our littlest explorers have begin transitioning into the toddler room with us expecting lots more on the build up to September. We understand that moving into a new environment, joining different routines and finding the confidence to express their needs can sometimes feel overwhelming. That is why transition is so important to us. We want every child to feel the same sense of safety, belonging and reassurance in our toddler room as they do in our under-two rooms.🫶🌱

Tasty Tuesday provided the perfect opportunity to create a calm, nurturing and intimate experience where the children could build relationships, make choices and grow in confidence at their own pace in smaller groups with bigger explorers.🍃✨

Our explorers made delicious summer skewers, independently choosing from a range of ingredients and deciding how they wanted to prepare them. With sensitive adult support, they explored chopping, slicing and dicing before carefully threading each piece onto their skewers🍡✨

This simple activity supported so many areas of learning, including fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, decision-making, communication, independence and social interaction. Most importantly, it gave each child the space and confidence to have their voice heard. 🤍✨

Once the skewers were placed on the grill, we watched them sizzle and crisp together, building excitement as we cheered, “They’re nearly ready!”

A lovely little moment of learning, laughter and growing confidence — and a gentle reminder that the smallest experiences can make the biggest difference during transition, because these moments matter to us, for you🏡💚
