It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of local bus enthusiast and dear friend of Lloyds Coaches, Glyn Jones, at the age of 91.

Glyn was a true gentleman. Over a remarkable 91 years, he witnessed extraordinary transformations across the public transport industry, carrying a wealth of history, passion, and local knowledge with him.

To many of us across Aberystwyth and Machynlleth, Glyn was a warm and familiar face. He could often be spotted out and about enjoying the buses and trains alongside his close friend—and another great friend to us all—Tony Moyes. Their shared love for the buses and railways was infectious, and seeing them out together always brought a smile to our drivers and team.

Glyn’s presence, stories, and enthusiasm will be greatly missed by everyone at Lloyds Coaches and throughout the wider transport enthusiast community.

Rest in peace, Glyn. 🚌

Well, the ancient mystery is finally solved: the legendary Buddha has returned to their rightful throne at the Peniarth Arms in Bryncrug! 🧘‍♂️✨

Rumour has it they didn’t just walk back or teleport through pure enlightenment... word on the street is they caught a ride on the G21 from Llwyngwril.

🚌💨 Can you picture it? The Buddha balancing their inner peace with the scenic twists and turns of the A493.

Whether they showed their bus pass or paid in good karma, one thing is for sure: they're back, relaxed, and officially enjoying the local hospitality.

Welcome home! ✨

Take a trip to the legendary Peniarth with Lloyds Coaches on the G21 or G24, plan your visit at https://lloydscoaches.com/bus-timetables/
