Well the rain came, but it didn't stop our Coronation Celebrations!
Here are our brilliant pupils singing 'The Coronation Song' with their crowns!
Enjoy your weekend & see you on Tuesday!

Due to the forecast of rain over lunchtime, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our picnic on the field with parents.
Instead, pupils will have a special lunch in the hall and an afternoon assembly before leaving school at normal time.
A video recording of the pupils performing 'The Coronation Song' this afternoon will be shared.
Parents/Carers should come and collect pupils at the normal end of school time: 3:15pm.

We are really looking forward to having our families join us on Friday afternoon for our King's Coronation Celebration!
Gates open at 12pm for parents to come on to the field with their picnics and blankets.
All pupils will be provided with a Coronation Packed Lunch.
Music, games and a special performance of the Coronation song will be performed by pupils.
Let's hope the sun shines for us!
(More details will be sent out via Arbor)

Discovering the elements. What a fabulous day 🌏🌪️🔥💧

A wonderfully interactive workshop making paint and investigating solids, liquids and gases and their reactions when mixed this morning

We have made it safely to Magna after a beautiful journey over the snowy hills. We are now starting our ‘Solids, Liquids and Gases’ workshop before we explore!

🚨REMINDER🚨Tomorrow (Tuesday 14th March) year 5 will be heading to Magna science museum. We will be leaving school at 8.30am so please ensure your child arrives at school between 8-8.15am so we can set off promptly.
To make sure we get the most out of the day we won't be leaving Magna until 3pm and are expecting to be back at school between 4.30-5pm.
We will keep you updated with our journey times as we travel home.
Children are to wear FULL uniform and bring a warm coat with them.

Our Year 5 children fully embraced Hurdsfield Hollow in all its muddy glory this afternoon and were truly at one with Mother Nature! 🍃🍂🌿making mud people, using mallets, moving logs and just enjoying the great outdoors! Thank you to Baxter Bear and Mrs Conoley for braving the elements with them!

REMINDER🚨Year 5 will be going up to forest school tomorrow (Monday 13th) as part of their ‘Mother Nature Cruel or Kind?’ Enquiry.
As it is ignition day the children can come to school in their forest school clothes ALL DAY 🌿🍂🍃
They will need to wrap up warm and wear old clothes-including thick coats and waterproofs that they don't mind getting muddy.🧣👖🧦🧤
Trainers can be worn inside during the day but old boots or wellies will need to be worn when in the forest.👟🥾

Please make sure you send your children in wrapped up nice and warm today-especially year 1 who will be up in forest school this afternoon! Old, warm clothes would be best. Thank you

🍂🍃Up in Hurdsfield Hollow today Year 1 learnt how to use a mallet.
The children decided that each one of the sticks hammered into the ground was like one of them. “All sticks, just different shapes and sizes - everyone equal”.

A very special thank you must go to Mr Cartwright and Mr Berrisford for driving our mini buses all that way and to Mrs Moores for all her hard work and organisational skills.
