Hurdsfield Primary School and Nursery

Our Year 5 pupils were delighted to be invited to see a special event at Astra Zeneca this afternoon. To commemorate 60 years of being in Macclesfield, a time capsule was buried. We hope that our pupils will be involved in digging it up in 40.years time!

On Monday, we welcome a Great Britain Champion to school to launch our Sports Week!

Another week to celebrate!
Our Year 4s were fantastic at The Bridgewater Hall playing with the Halle orchestra, whilst our Year 3s had a special visit from the Library Book Bus to choose all their favourites!

We've had a really busy week back as we start our Summer Term 2!
Ignition Day (where we had a viking and zoo animals in school), our first Silent Disco, and a Sea Cadets workshop!

Thursday, after school, we have our exciting PTA led Silent Disco event!

A letter has been sent home to inform of the numerous activities and events taking place next month including our Olympic athlete visit to launch our Sports Week!

A free Thursday treat & a takeaway option at lunchtime!

This afternoon, members of our school Eco Council shared what they have been up to this year to our school governors.
Chair of Governors, Jane Stephens, was delighted to present the Eco Green Flag Award to pupils and Miss Sharples, who has supported the council this year.
