Today we have enjoyed making some lovely cupcakes. We have helped measure and weigh ingredients, mix the ingredients together and talk about the process of cake making. We had such fun, and all did a super job as a team.

This morning during circle time Whirley Pre-School talk turned to how apples and pears grow on trees, which then got the children wondering about other foods. Later on, we have played a game helping us to match where each food item comes from. We have found lots of interesting facts about food today.

"What's in the bag? What's in the bag? Let's take a look and see what's in the bag?"
This week our older children Whirley Pre-School have been taking part in group time to explore sounds. Our grown ups made a sound with the object hidden in the bag, and the children needed to guess the sound they heard. Some of them were quite tricky, but they did an amazing job at guessing.

The children Whirley Pre-School have been exploring the musical instruments today. They have been learning the names of each instrument and found out how each one sounded. They then enjoyed singing some of their favourite songs and using their instruments at the same time.
