And we are on our way!!!!
Wow, I can't quite believe how fast this has come around, it still feels very surreal. It has been quite a roller coaster of emotions to get to this day and with a few sleepless nights thrown in to the mix. The excitement hasn't quite kicked in yet, its being held back by the nerves, but in just a few more hours the winners names will all be announced. My only focus at the minute is that I really want to do everybody proud; all of our children at Scamps, our familes; past and present and each and every member of staff proud.
Thank you to you all for your 'good lucks' and I l really do hope that I'm lucky enough to have my name called this evening to win the award for 'Nursery Manager of the Year 2021.'
Amy xx

Our Week in the Tweenie Room
What a week it has been. We've been practising our numbers as we counted down on the farm, counted balls as they jumped into hoops and basically anything and everything we played with. We are so clever and able to count all the way from 1 to 10 and sometimes even higher. This week has also seen us soak our keyworker and head out on safari on our jungle run.

Our Week in Pre-School
How much is that doggie in the window? Preschool would love to know! This week is pet week and preschool have been sharing their stories about their own pets, sending us pictures of their pets and talking about our dream pets too. We've got lots of dogs and cats at home and some more exotic pets like rats and lizards too! We made pet pictures and moved around like different pets. Then on Thursday we went for our long awaited jungle run in our animal costumes, which we all loved and all of the costumes were absolutely amazing. All week it was the soak the keyworker fundraiser, and they definitely did a very good job at making sure we were soaked, I think the ladies are still drying off their clothes now!

Our Week in the Willow Room
This week in Willows we have been very busy. This week we have been looking after our garden and planting lots of colourful flowers to grow at home and painting with Willows favourite fruit and vegetables. Exploring the different marks we can make we make some beautiful garden pictures.
This week we have also been raising money for a very special charity- Child Bereavement UK. This has included lots of fundraising activities. Willows have been soaking their keyworker with lots of wet sponges and water pistols. On Thursday all our boys and girls dressed up as different animals and completed lots of exciting jungle activities. We made masks, binoculars and found hiding animals looming in our playdough. What fun. To complete our day we enjoyed a jungle run around the park and found lots of different animals hiding in the bushes. What fun!

Our Week in the Baby Room
What a great week it has been in Babies! We've had the best time exploring our sensory garden den, colourful texture trays and vegetable printing too. We had a great time on our jungle walk through the park too and saw some amazing animals which we loved making the sounds of when we saw them. What a 'roarsome' week!

Wow, what a Jungle-tastic day! We started the day by walking into nursery, where we were greeted by lots of different Jungle animals and sounds. We made our own binoculars, magnifying glasses and masks, to take on our Jungle walk around the park. As we left nursery we spotted our first animal, it was an Elephant. We used our crayon to mark off the Elephant on the tick list. We continued to walk around the park and spotted lots more Jungle animals. We used our binoculars to look for the animals and spotted them from very far away.
At the end of our Jungle walk, we did some Jungle races.
Thank you for helping to raise money for Child Bereavement .Bereavement

Our Week in the Tweenie Room
What a magical week we have had as we brought some well-known traditional tales to life. Jack climbed the beanstalk all the way to the top but the Giants castle he found needed some repairs, luckily the Tweenies were on hand to help. Goldilocks and the Three Bears stopped by for a tea party, we made some yummy porridge of course. In the forest, the Three Little Pigs were having some trouble with their house building. Jo matter how hard they tried, the Big Bad Wolf kept coming along and blowing it down and we spotted a Gingerbread Man running off by the river too. The Tweenies have loved making props to help them act out the stories and of course we couldn't read the Gingerbread Man story without making our own too.

It's been another wet and soggy week but that can only mean one thing.... All the wiggly worms are crawling out from the soil. This week is minibeast week and we have had lots of fun in the garden trying to find all the creepy crawlies lying beneath. We found lots of wiggly worms, some big some small. We found the ants marching across the soil under the leaves, we even saw the butterflies flying in the sky.
Then along came the jumping frogs from behind a bush and gave us all a fright. Before you knew it we had enough creepy crawlies to open up a bug hotel. We have all enjoyed reading the story of the very hungry caterpillar and got out our paintbrushes to decorate our own headband.
After watching all the wriggly worms we decided to make some playdough and make our own worms and oh what fun we had.
Down in the sensory garden we have had the tweezers out as we hunt for the bugs hiding between the trees, we found lots of busy bees and dragonflies then went to colour in our own picture.
What a fun creepy crawly week we have had

Inside we made our very own bug hotel sensory tray and made some minibeast gloop and we had fun digging for bugs in the sand too.
What a fun-filled week it has been.
Have a great weekend everyone.
