π¨ We're Looking for People with Interesting Jobs! π¨
We're putting together a Careers Fair for our year 6 children and would love some local volunteers to come along and talk about what they do.
Do you have a job that children would find exciting, unusual, or just really interesting? Whether you're a builder, vet, nurse, engineer, chef, business owner, farmer, artist, emergency services worker, or anything else, we'd love to hear from you!
The idea is simply to give our pupils a glimpse into the huge range of careers out there. You don't need to be a public speaker β just willing to chat about your job and answer a few questions from some very curious children.

Wow, what a busy day Year 4 have had! We have not stopped since we woke up (which was rather bright and early today)!
After a very busy morning packing up the tents and dorms then having a tasty breakfast, we headed into Chester to become Roman soldiers. We had great fun learning more about Roman life in Britain and marching through the streets as we practised our Roman chanting, formations and tactics.
The children are really looking forward to another jam-packed evening of campfire cooking, camping and activities βΊοΈ
More photos will be coming - we are having some problems with connectivity and poor WiFi.
Year 4 have had a fabulous first day at Burwardsley! They started by setting up all their own tents and it was fantastic to see their teamwork! βΊοΈ
4Ha then had a great time den-building with natural materials while 4Hi learned all about the local Iron Age history before cooking their own dinner (which they loved!).
We had a quiz in the evening to escape some of the rain before settling down for bed π€
