What a wonderful afternoon we had last Friday celebrating our very special grandparents at Theddlethorpe Academy.

Each class enjoyed spending time with their grandparents, taking part in a range of fun activities, sharing stories, playing together and creating some lovely memories. 📚🎨

It was fantastic to see so many grandparents join us and sharing such a special afternoon with our children. The smiles, laughter and enthusiasm made the afternoon truly memorable.

Thank you to all of our wonderful grandparents for coming to celebrate with us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! ♥️

📚 Reading at home 📚

We would like to remind families of our expectations around reading at home. Regular reading plays such an important role in developing children’s confidence, vocabulary, fluency and enjoyment of books.

Please take a look at the poster for more information about how our reading challenge works.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us to develop a love of reading at home and at school. 📖✨

We had lots to celebrate in our whole school assembly today. Well done to all our children who were awarded with Principal's Mentions awards and Punctuality awards. Well done to the children who have been earning swimming badges outside of school. We're so proud of you all!

We also welcomed Mother Karen Gooding who spoke to the children about Harvest and why we celebrate. Thank you so much for your kind donations. There's still time to send in your tinned and packet foods before these are donated to a local foodbank.

What a lovely assembly! 🩵

Dyson Class have been learning about light and how it helps us to see!

Today, Mrs Smith challenged the children to complete an obstacle course in total darkness. Without light to guide them, they had to rely on their other senses to find their way through!

Well done to these three Phonics superstars who have been writing their words with beautiful formations and making sure that their letters sit on the lines.
Mrs Clarke gave them all a special sticker as she was so impressed 🌟
