We had a wonderful day exploring Bubble Planet Manchester for our Big Day out in March! 🫧✨💜

It felt like stepping into a different world filled with bubble orientated spaces of wonder and play for children and adults alike.

Who doesn't love a room full of balloons, bubble filled baths and a ball pit?! We wandered our way through bubble-themed installations and sensory experiences that ignited the children's curiosity, creativity, and playful nature. The light rooms, with their endless reflections, felt like getting a glimpse of an interdimensional, never-ending reality and gave everyone a chance to experience something truly unique and memorable.

One of the favourite parts of the day was the giant bubble pit, where there was lots of laughter and fun and our very own Ruth joined in too! 🫧😊

Trips like these are so important, not only for the fun and excitement they bring, but also for the cultural experiences they offer visiting a big city and engaging in an artistic event . Exploring new environments helps children build confidence, develop curiosity, and learn through hands-on experiences outside of the usual setting.

Most of all, it reminded us of the magic of play and how important it is for children—and adults too—to enjoy moments of imagination, joy, and discovery together 💜

The sun is shining on the Pride & Joy garden today, and it’s looking beautiful with lots of purple honesty flowers in bloom 😊🥰 along with our vegetables beginning to sprout 🌱😍

The children love getting their hands dirty planting, watering, and watching the flowers and vegetables grow. It’s wonderful to see their excitement as they learn about nature and enjoy spending time outdoors 🌸💜

We enjoyed a wonderful Pride & Joy Community Big Day Out Yesterday! Family, Friends and little ones shared the opportunity to admire so many well cared for animals, walk through Lemur and Wallaby enclosures, the spectacular sea lion show was wonderful and everyone burned off some steam on the play area. We enjoyed glorious weather and we can’t wait to visit all the animals at Blackpool Zoo again 💖

We enjoyed a nice therapeutic family morning yesterday. A lovely simple, sensory festive seasonal activity! Perfect for big and little hands; great aromatic exercise and fine motor development!
The Clove studded orange can then be used in flavouring food or drinks (I feel a warm mulled beverage coming on!) or dehydrate it gently and hang it in your room. Cosy Christmas abound 🎄⭐️

At Pride & Joy Childcare, relationships sit at the centre of everything we do. Every child, every volunteer, and every family arrives with their own cultural capital — a unique blend of experiences, traditions, skills, and stories that enrich our setting. Our incredible volunteers help to facilitate this environment gifting their time, talents, and spirit to our community!

👴 Intergenerational Connection

We welcome Ruth’s father, an 85 year old volunteer whose presence brings warmth, humour and valuable intergenerational interactions into our days, offering children a natural bridge to the past, and reminding us of the beauty of shared stories and the wisdom that comes with age.

🎶 Thank you for the music

Bringing music into our setting our volunteer musician will provide entertainment and hands-on exploration of instruments enabling the children to immerse themselves in sound, creativity, and expression. As a blind man, his presence also gently opens the door to disability awareness, nurturing empathy and understanding through authentic relationship.

🤱 Super Mums

We also have wonderful volunteer mums who offer their time to support our events and activities.

• One is training to become a Steiner childcarer and brings thoughtful insight, observation, and compassion rooted in her studies.

• The other is an anthropologist and reiki practitioner who enriches our space with her understanding of natural healing practices and cross-cultural perspectives, supporting the children’s sense of belonging and curiosity about the wider world.

Pride & Joy is a Steiner-inspired setting where diversity is not simply welcomed — it is celebrated.
