Early exposure to technology poses no threats or hinderance for most young learners; indeed, as with all exploration learners will naturally be draw to exciting, interactive, interesting, responsive “things”. There is no doubting that today Primary School children are born into a very different world than their teachers; a world rich in media stimuli that can be read and processed in multiple streams. This is a very different environment indeed to many older people in the community, so they need a different approach. Technology will always advance, and yesterdays school child will be tomorrows bemused pensioner - unless we think differently and are willing to accept that relearning and adapting are just the world’s way to exercise the brain!
