MUSIC CLUB for RECEPTION, YEAR 1 AND YEAR 2 STUDENTS

Give your child a solid music foundation that will allow them to seamlessly transition to a musical instrument without the theory getting in the way of their progression and pace.

Teaching children to read music and understand the musical elements BEFORE giving them instrumental tuition can result in a much more successful transition to a musical instrument. If children already have a solid foundation and understanding of music theory then an instrument can often be learnt at a much faster pace, creating much more enjoyment and engagement from the child.

I actively encourage parents/guardians to stay for the classes- this way you can support your child during the session, learn for yourself and continue to reinforce the learning at home.
Sessions are ran in half termly blocks

I can't believe I'm actually writing this, but our Winter Jam Classes are now available to book.

❄️ The winter block begins on Monday 9th November and will run for 6 weeks.
❄️ Pay As You Go is available for the 9.30am and 11.30am class.
❄️ Block booking is available for the 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am class.

Yesterday in class we spent the last 15 minutes having a listen to a new piece of music (Carnival of the Animals- Aviary-Camille Saint-Saëns) The children were not told the title of the piece and were asked to draw whatever the music made them think of. I think we got some beautiful answers 🐦 🧚 ❤️

Our Music Club children are learning to read music, we are currently focusing on the notes G,A and B. Creating a wide range of resources to support learning, maintain engagement and enjoyment is key to helping these children develop. No two sessions are the same, all resources are tailored to the individual class to ensure progress.

NEW CLASS........

Some of you have been asking for an afternoon class, but also a class that would allow you time to do the school pick up for your older one(s)

So from September there will be a 2.15pm Monday class that will run alongside our other 3 Monday classes.

I've left the new class as a pay as you go only option to see how things go with it- if the class takes off then I will add a block booking option also from October half term onwards.

PRIVATE HIRE BOUNCY CASTLE SESSIONS

Some of you have been asking about using the inflatable play park.

The play park (all in one bouncy castle, slide and ball pit) is available to hire for 1hr private sessions at JAM. The session can be for up to 10 children (suitable for crawlers-4years) and includes juice and biscuits.
