Hope you all have the best possible Christmas. I'm so looking forward to a brighter and better 2021 when hopefully workshops can return. Just before lockdown in March 2020 I completed level 2 of my tutor training so I've loads to share regarding new workshops. So here's to 2021 🥂🥂 stay well and keep safe xx

Hey hope you are all well and enjoying the gorgeous weather.

The powers that be at Powertex head office are inviting tutors to participate in a series of challenges. Today's challenge is to think 'Why I became a Powertex tutor and why am I running workshops?

Here goes ...
I came across Powertex about 2 years ago and was desperate to give it a go. My initial reaction was to jump right in, buy some and have a go. However, I decided to take a more slower approach which is quite rare for me! I researched Powertex more and watched a few videos. I found a couple of tutors and booked myself on a couple of workshops. After the first one I was hooked! In fact, my grown up sons would say 'don't stand still too long, mum will Powertex you!' I soon trained to be a tutor and completed level 1 Fabric Sculpting. Just before lockdown I completed level 2 tutor training in Stone Art.

In the last 5 years, my life has changed so much after being head of a nursery and infant department in a school I now own a fabric, yarn and haberdashery shop and I'm a qualified Powertex tutor! Never ever did I think I'd end up teaching again!

I love to create and with Powertex I can lose myself for hours. It always amazes me what you can make from a wine bottle or toilet roll.
I enjoy passing on my knowledge and love the buzz in my workshops. People's faces are a delight to see when they go home with their finished piece proud of themselves thinking 'I made that!' I love making new friends and watching people's self confidence grow as they attend my workshops. Crafters are so great at helping each other out and sharing ideas too.

Evening all. I've some Powertex Starter kits ready for despatch in the next couple of days. Just choose your Powertex colour and size of bottle. Really good to use with the kids too! A great way to enhance literacy and numeracy skills as an ex primary teacher and head of infants I've lots of ideas...
Labelling your model, writing instructions of how to make your model, non-fiction writing facts about your model etc plus how many models can up make from a bottle of Powertex, how much could you sell the model for.
Plus I'll add in a few freebies too. I understand that this is a difficult time for most and learning should be fun, that's why I'm adding some free items to this pack, it's not all about worksheets!!!

Due to Covid-19 I'm afraid I will not be running any further workshops for the time being. If you have booked a workshop I will be contacting you today to offer a FULL refund.
