We are lucky enough to have a regular green fingered volunteer, Mr Hinks, who kindly gives up his time to spend time with the children and help them plant, harvest and look after our outdoor garden! There are so many benefits to being outdoors, and so much learning to be had. The children learn about seasonality, native animals and insects, our local area and the life cycle of plants. Did you know that getting your hands dirty is proven to trigger our brains to release dopamine and serotonin? This actively boosts your mood while lowering your stress levels. Here are some of the latest photos of the garden produce, proudly taken home to share with their families! Thank you Mr Hinks, and well done Team Tiptoe!

Jaguars had a fantastic time at Osmington Bay for their residential and were terrific ambassadors for Team Tiptoe! They showed determination, bravery and resilience when taking on new challenges such as a giant swing, a huge climbing wall and raft building in the sea (to name a few!). They also enjoyed team games, laser tag, and archery while making the most of the glorious weather. While we are thrilled they had such a great time, we are very pleased to have Jaguar class back in school! Thank you to all adults that helped make this trip happen so successfully - see you soon PGL Osmington Bay!

Koalas and Starfish had an amazing time in DT recently! As part of their history topic of 'Seaside Holidays - Now & Then' they learned about bathing machines, and how seaside holidays looked very different in times gone by. With careful design and planning, they made their own bathing machines, and we think they are fabulous!

Jaguar class have had a very successful few weeks, and have shown great resilience and independence. Year 6 have completed their SATS, and we are so proud of them - not only have they worked hard, they have also shown a very mature and considered approach to the tests. Year 5 have also undertaken their Bikeability training and assessments and demonstrated excellent road safety and cycling! The Bikeability team had such fantastic feedback for them all and their perseverance as they undertook new challenges. Well done all!

We’re absolutely delighted to share some very special news - we received a personal letter from the Secretary of State for Education, recognising the incredible efforts of Tiptoe School. Our work supporting disadvantaged children has led to some of the strongest outcomes in the country for the 2024–25 academic year, and we couldn’t be prouder.

One of our many strengths here at Tiptoe is how we are able to really get to know and support all our children, enabling us to work closely with them and their families to help them achieve their very best. It is wonderful for this to be recognised, and we are very proud to share this with you today.

Our sincere thanks go to every member of our staff team for their passion, commitment, and drive to give every child the best opportunity to succeed and thrive. And to our fantastic children and supportive community - your encouragement, involvement, and belief in what we do make all the difference. Together, we’re achieving something truly special.
