🐸Frog under a log
Our outdoor play came to a very excited halt today when the children spotted a tiny, hopping visitor under a log! Finding a frog is always a massive event in nursery and it was the perfect opportunity to practice our gentlest hands and quietest voices so we didn't scare him.
The children were absolutely captivated. We had a wonderful chat about where he might live, why his skin feels damp and how he uses his strong back legs to jump.
After everyone got a close-up look, we carefully guided him back to a safe, shady spot in the bushes. These spontaneous moments of discovery are where the best learning happens - sparking so much curiosity, respect for nature, and gentle care for living things.
