You may have noticed that over the last few weeks, we’ve been changing the way we share images of the children at Woolaston Under Fives on social media and through Tapestry, particularly when sharing group experiences and achievements.

As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding, we’re adapting how we showcase our sessions in response to growing concerns around the use and manipulation of children’s images online, including through AI.

This doesn’t mean we’ll stop sharing the wonderful moments happening in our setting. It simply means we’ve changed the angle — not the story ❤️

Moving forward, you’ll see more:

📸 Backs of heads
🎨 Hands-on learning and activities
👧 Side-facing photographs, where appropriate and with the relevant permissions

Our aim is simple: to continue celebrating the learning, creativity, friendships and special moments that make our sessions so wonderful, while taking every step we can to protect our children’s privacy and safety.

The memories, experiences and achievements are still there — we’re just sharing them a little differently.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we make this important change. ❤️

🎉 A HUGE thank you! 🎉

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our Bingo Night on Monday hosted by the wonderful Richard and Hannah at The Netherend Inn 💕

It was a fantastic evening, and we’re so grateful for everyone who joined in, donated, helped out and made the night such a success.

Thanks to your amazing support, we raised an incredible £255 towards our garden project! 🌿🌸

Every pound will help us improve our fabulous outdoor space for everyone to enjoy, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our wonderful community.

Thank you all so much for helping us make it happen! 💚

🌿☀️ What an amazing 4 weeks of Holiday Club!☀️🌿

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better 4 weeks, and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of spending it with the most amazing children! 💛

Over the last few weeks, we’ve welcomed lots of new children from all across the Forest of Dean, and it’s been so lovely watching new friendships blossom and everyone settle in, have fun and make memories together. 🥰

We’ve packed so much into our time together, including:

🔬 Science Week and lots of exciting experiments
🌳 Nature walks and blackberry picking
🫐 Making our very own blackberry crumble
👩‍🍳 Getting creative in the mud kitchen
🌳 Trips to the park
🎪 Our very own Holiday Club festival
💦 LOADS of water play, splashing and soaking!
🎭 Plenty of role play and imaginative play
🤹 Learning new circus skills
…and so, so much more!

A huge thank you to every child and family who has joined us over the last 4 weeks. It has been an absolute pleasure having your children with us. They are all amazing, and we hope they’ve had as much fun as we have! ❤️

Now it’s time for our wonderful staff team to put their feet up and enjoy a well-deserved 2-week break. 🥳🌞

We can’t wait to see you all again at our next Holiday Club during October half term! 🍂🎃

Have a fantastic break everyone, and thank you for making these 4 weeks so special! 💕

What a fantastic day on our Rising 5 trip to Caldicot Castle! 🏰🚌

We had so much fun travelling together on the bus before spending the day exploring the amazing castle. The children loved discovering the moat and venturing into the dungeon, using their imaginations as they learned all about the castle's history.

After all that exploring, we enjoyed a fabulous picnic together in the sunshine, followed by a well-earned ice cream 🍦😊.

It was a day full of adventure, laughter, and wonderful memories. We are so proud of how well everyone behaved and how enthusiastically they embraced the experience. Well done, Rising 5’s 🤩
