🐝Baby Bees🐝

This week our Baby Bees have been busy exploring the world through their senses! 🐝💛
They used their sense of taste to sample a variety of delicious fruits, exploring different flavours, textures and smells.
The children also enjoyed using scented play dough, smelling each one carefully and tried to identifying the different scents. 👃👅🍓🍊🍌
Through these fun, hands-on experiences, the children were encouraged to explore, make choices, develop their vocabulary and share their ideas.

Sponsored Walk Fun at Bumbles Aintree

What a fantastic week we’ve had so far! Our wonderful children have been taking part in a very special sponsored walk, helping us raise money towards a defibrillator for our new Melling nursery. ❤️

Each room has taken their turn completing their walk around the beautiful Bizzy Bees garden, and we have been so proud to see the children showing such amazing enthusiasm, determination and excitement as they made their way around!

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parents and families for supporting our sponsored walk and helping the children collect their sponsorships. Your generosity, encouragement and continued support mean so much to us. 💕

🐝 Bumbles Nursery Orrell Park 🐝

🌞🌖 Exploring the Solar Eclipse 🌖🌞

Baby Bees explored a shiny silver sensory tray. They investigated different textures, sounds and reflections, introducing the children to concepts of light, shine and darkness through sensory play. 🛸

Honey Bees created their own pretend eclipse glasses 🕶 while learning about the different stages of an eclipse. They took their creations into the garden to continue their exploration.

Bizzy Bees became little space scientists ☄️ using a torch and ball to discover how an eclipse happens. The children experimented with light and shadows and learned how the Earth 🌎 and Moon 🌙 move in space and how planets 🪐 travel around the sun ☀️.

Our Bizzy Bees have graduated! 🐝🎓

Our lovely Bizzy Bees have officially graduated from nursery and are now ready to begin their exciting journey into school!
We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Watching them grow from little nursery children into confident, independent and enthusiastic learners has been such a special journey.
They have made friendships, created wonderful memories, learnt new skills and grown in confidence ever step of the way. Each child has brought their own unique personality, laughter and sparkle to Bizzy Bees, and they will certainly be missed.
We are so proud of you! Keep being curious, kind, brave and confident. We know you will do wonderful things at big school! A huge well done!

Bumbles Maghull

Our children have been learning and talking about the solar eclipse. They enjoyed getting creative and made their own eclipse viewers using an empty cereal box, tin foil and tape.

The children then headed out into the garden to explore how their viewers worked. 🌞🔭

This hands-on activity encouraged the children to explore, create and experiment with different materials, while developing their art and design skills.

A wonderful example of learning through curiosity, creativity and play! 💛

Bumbles Old Swan

We’ve had an amazing time at nursery! 🐝💛

Baby Bees have been keeping cool by making their very own ice cream cones at our ice cream parkour! Lots of colour, patterns and counting. 🍦☀️Very good for fine motor skills too!

Honey Bees have been having lots of fun with their activities too, they have created their very own Beach Scene, creating lots of opportunities for talking about places they’ve been to with their families-or want to visit!

Our Bizzy Bees have been thinking about the eclipse and exploring how light is formed, especially from the sun. 🌞🌘 They explored light and dark and thought about where light comes from.

So many wonderful, hands-on learning experiences happening here at nursery! 🐝✨

🎓🐝 Bizzy Bees Graduation Day! 🐝🎓

What a truly special day we had celebrating our wonderful children as they reach such an exciting milestone! 💛

We are incredibly proud of how much they have grown, learned and blossomed during their time with us. From their very first days with us to seeing them confidently walk across the stage, it has been such a privilege to be part of their journey. 🥹💕

There were plenty of smiles, proud moments and, of course, a few happy tears as we said goodbye to the children who are leaving us for their school adventures.

We will miss their little faces, their laughter and all the special memories we have made together, but we are so excited to see what the future holds for every one of them. 🌈✨

Good luck, little ones — go and shine bright! ⭐️

Bumbles Aintree

This week, Honey Bees have had a wonderful time exploring a tuff tray activity inspired by the story Doctorsaurus! 🦕🩺

Using our dinosaur-themed tuff tray, the children became caring doctors and looked after all the different dinosaurs. They used bandages, medical tools and lots of imagination to help their patients recover, talking about what might be wrong with each dinosaur and deciding how they could make them feel better.
This activity encouraged the children to develop their communication and language skills as they spoke about their ideas, while also supporting their understanding of emotions, empathy and caring for others.
