Bumbles Nursery Old Swan🐝

At our nursery this week, we have been exploring many fun, filled activities following our current topics.

Baby Bees have enjoyed exploring lots of messy play activities, using their fine motor skills to create marks and patterns. They have also been using their senses to smell, feel, and observe different textures. Baby Bees especially enjoyed exploring a lovely seasonal tuff tray, including the 4 different seasons, using the visual seasonal blocks

Honey Bees have been creating models of cars and making wheels, using their fine motor skills to form the wheels and creating different shapes. Honey Bees created a car, using the tires and wooden planks whilst in the garden, making many sounds in play and using some descriptive words. They made some colourful sensory bags too, exploring colour mixing and creating marks 🚘 🛞

Bizzy Bees have continued to follow there topic of space, creating planets by using coffee filters and watered down paints. This sparked some lovely conversations, expressing excitement whilst the colours blended together. Bizzy Bees created some 3D planets, recycling some polystyrene cylinders and decorating them with paint. They created their own space helmets, using paper plates and decorated them with some tissue papers, using excellent hand-eye coordination skills whilst glueing and sticking. They finished their week off by exploring a fun messy play activity and familiarising themselves with the solar system🌌 🌎

🐝🎃 Bumbles Nursery Orrell Park 🎃🐝

🎨🖌 Honey Bees 🐝🍯

Our Honey Bees have had a fantastic time getting creative and making some spooky artwork in preparation for Halloween! 👻🎃 The children used their wonderful creativity and imagination to design some beautiful Halloween pictures, exploring colours, textures and different ways to express themselves. We are so proud of their spooktacular creations! 🧡🖤

🌽🎃 Bizzy Bees 🐝🍯

Our Bizzy Bees have been busy exploring where our food comes from! 🌱🌎 The children had a wonderful time visiting the fields to pick their very own pumpkins and sweetcorn. 🎃🌽

Through these exciting, hands-on experiences, the children have been learning about where food comes from, how fruit and vegetables grow, and the journey they take from the field to our plates. 🍽️🌱 What a fantastic opportunity to explore the world around us, develop curiosity and learn through real-life experiences! 💚

Bumbles Aintree.

This week, the children in Bizzy Bees have been getting active, creative and learning all about the importance of recycling through our very own Recycled Gym!

The children had lots of fun creating their very own weights using recycled plastic water bottles and sand. They carefully filled their bottles to make their own gym equipment, exploring how everyday items can be reused in exciting and imaginative ways rather than being thrown away.

Bumbles Maghull – Bizzy Bees 🐝

Bizzy Bees have enjoyed an exciting trip to the local park, where the children had lots of opportunities to run, climb, jump and explore their surroundings. These fun outdoor experiences helped to develop their physical skills, balance and coordination. Through playing alongside their friends, the children also practised sharing, taking turns and building positive relationships. 🛝🌳

Bumbles Nursery Old Swan🐝

We have had a very exciting week at our nursery, participating in some great activities relating to our themes and the new season.

Baby Bees have been creative, using their fine motor skills to create some sand painting pictures, mixing the sand and different coloured paints together. They also used their senses to explore a summer inspired water activity whilst in the garden, continuing to explore the seasons. Lastly, they enjoyed playing in a magical snow fairy inspired tuff tray, using their hands to scoop up the flour and blow the flour off as well as using their fine motor skills to pinch and move the flour too. The babies focused on using sounds in play and hand-eye coordination whilst using their fine motor skills 🧚‍♀️☀️

Honey Bees have been exploring some amazing autumn activities this week, creating a hedgehog, using recycled materials to create the shape of the hedgehog and using some colourful leaves to decorate them. Honey Bees also decorated their own trees, using some cotton buds to make autumnal dots, appearing like leaves. They have been continuing to follow their topic of Vehicles, creating a runway and using colourful paints to push the planes through, creating tracks and mark making. Honey Bees used a lot of communication and language, practicing colours, and the use of their fine motor skills 🍁✈️

Bizzy Bees have continued to explore their topic of Space, starting off by creating moon craters, using different sized rocks to create ditches into the sand, appearing like craters. Bizzy Bees created their own take on the moon, using tinfoil to form a moon shapes and creating different sizes. They then placed them into water and used the pincer grabbers to
used their fine motor skills, using the pincer grabbers to pick up and transfer them into a bowl, demonstrating great fine motor skills. Bizzy Bees created some red and yellow moon sand, inspired by the planet Mars and also loved created their own star constellations. Bizzy Bees practiced Mathematics, including counting and different sizes, used their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination 🌌

🐝 Bumbles Maghull 🐝

Baby Bees enjoyed a fun, hands-on activity using tweezers to find colourful pom-poms hidden in play dough! 🌈

This engaging activity helped to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and colour recognition, while also encouraging focus and concentration. 🧡

It was lovely to see the children exploring, learning and having fun together!

🌟 Have a Go, Little Bee! 🐝

Sometimes the biggest achievements start with the smallest step — having a go! 💛

Whether it’s trying a new food, joining a new game, making a new friend or attempting something independently, every new experience helps children build confidence.

At Bumbles, we encourage our little learners to explore, experiment and try things at their own pace. There doesn’t have to be a perfect result — sometimes the most important part is simply saying, “I’ll give it a try!” 🥰

Every attempt is a little step towards growing confidence and independence. 🌱

Bumbles Nursery Old Swan🐝

We have had a fun filled week at our nursery, participating in engaging activities relating to our themes.

Baby Bees have been exploring the world, creating their own plants to take care of and bringing awareness of life cycles. They have been planting, using amazing hand-eye coordination skills to transfer the soil into the pots, popping the seeds into the pot with their Key Carer. They have explored a rainbow tuff tray, practicing single words and colours as well as learning the different types of weather such as, rain, sun, and clouds.

Honey Bees have been continuing to follow their theme of cars as well as incorporating our new season, Autumn. They’ve been doing some excellent mark making activities such as, rolling different vehicles through paint, learning the names and colour mixing, creating new colours. Continuing with the mark making theme, they’ve done some leaf painting, using leaves that they had discovered in our garden.

Bizzy Bees have continued to explore their topic of Space, participating in some outdoor space inspired activities such as, creating their own galaxy using crushed chalk mixed with water, then creating patterns and mark making onto the outdoor chalk board. This encouraged the use of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and created amazing conversations about what colours and patterns the children were going to do. They also explored a maths activity, consisting of the counting pebbles placed into their outdoor water tray, filled with multi-coloured glitter, following on by using the different metal resources to scoop and transfer the counting pebbles into the metal bowl. This encouraged the use of fine motor skills, gross motor skills, communication and language, and mathematical skills.
