Job Opportunity...Part time Cook at Springfield

We are looking to recruit a part time cook with a caring nature and positive attitude to join Springfield. We cook for up to 112 children per day and you will be able catering for a variety of needs and dietary requirements. All meals are already planned and food is ordered. Support, training and guidance will be given.

Days and hours are: Wed, Thurs, Fri - 21 hours

Varying 7.5 hour shifts (half hour break included in shift) between the hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm - 2 week shift pattern

Experience is not essential...we just need someone hard-working, motivated and keen to work with a warm and friendly team in a fast paced environment!

We are recruiting an experienced qualified Nursery Practitioner to work alongside and support a Room Leader. Good job security, a recent (December 2023) 'Outstanding' graded Ofsted inspection, excellent continuous professional development.
36-40 hours per week (4.5 days)
Rotas given 4 weeks in advance so you can organise a great work : life, balance
£14.15 p/h.

A single site family owned nurturing children's day nursery. We provide childcare and education for children aged 0-5 years. We use in the moment planning and child initiated play. Set in 1.5 acres of green belt the children explore our forest.

Well done to everyone, we made it up and down, the hike tested everyone in different ways. 13km, 900 ascent... Sore legs, scary moments and blistered feet!! Definitely a challenge both physically and mentally on striding edge and then the final scramble to get to the top! Well done everyone, a great team effort.

We've started to recycle, the children collect and sort the clean plastic and metal (where appropriate!!) - we have always wanted to recycle, but not been able to. Now we can. Card in one, Plastic and metal in the other. We go through 50 ltrs of milk a week, 15kg of tinned tomatoes, 14 boxes of cereal, lots of other boxes for delivery of toilet roll, paper towels etc.... Needless to say the recycling bins are filled every week!!!!

I am very pleased to let you know that we were inspected by the Food Standards Agency last Friday and we retained our 5* Food Hygiene Rating.

I know a lot of effort and thought goes in to the quality of the meals and variety of the menu so that we provide different food experiences whilst covering dietary requirements including allergy awareness and also ensure a balance of nutritious meals.

Thank you and CONGRATULATIONS to Tracey, Kate, Catherine and Lewis for their continued hard work to ensure we meet the highest standards.

Closed for Christmas

Just checked our Defibrillator pads (Paediatric and Adult) are in date and the Batteries are healthy and updated the status on The Circuit.

What is The Circuit?

The Circuit is the national defibrillator network used by all 14 ambulance services across the UK. It enables ambulance services to locate the nearest defibrillator when 999 is called in response to a cardiac arrest.

At a time when every minute matters, this information is critical to enable bystander defibrillation to start before the ambulance arrives.

Your defibrillator is visible to ambulance services 60 seconds after registering. It could make a lifesaving difference for someone and their loved ones.
