A to last week and our 'goodbyes' to our fabulous Year 6s.

A St Andrew’s tradition that never disappoints 🌟 an incredible morning of rounders as as our Year 6 parents took on Year 6 pupils 🏏☀️ A fantastic St Andrew’s tradition that has been enjoyed for many years, bringing together families, children and staff for lots of laughter, teamwork and friendly competition. The match was filled with great sporting spirit, memorable moments and plenty of smiles from everyone involved. A huge thank you to all the parents who joined in and helped make the event so special.

We also held our Leavers’ Service at St Andrew’s Church. The service was filled with proud moments, including awards, beautiful songs, and the presentation of House Points by our House Captains. A special celebration was held for our amazing Year 6 pupils as they prepare to move on to the next stage of their journey. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and know they have bright futures ahead of them.

Continuing our celebrations, our Year 6 children shared special messages and memories across the playground in chalk before making their way through the traditional St Andrew’s Arch—a much-loved farewell that marks the end of their primary school journey and sends them on to new adventures.

While they may be leaving our school, they will always be a cherished part of the St Andrew’s family. 👏👏👏

Visitors in school!

Today, the children were visited by 1 day old Pheasants from Lillia, Willow and Reggie’s farm. They hatched yesterday and have 11 new chicks.

The children did a great job of being careful and calm with the new chicks - well done all.

It has been such a busy few days in Acorns!

The children have been using the vocabulary they’ve learned in both English and our theme work to practise their phonics skills. They’ve been building words linked to things we might take to the beach 🌊🏖️ Just look how proud they are of their fantastic work – we certainly are! 😊👏

And then today, they had a brilliant day at the "beach"! They have played in the sand and water, had water fights, played with bubbles, sang songs and danced - and they even had an ice lolly!

What a fab day with their friends 🧡

It was such a pleasure to meet our new EYFS children during their transition session today.

I thoroughly enjoyed spending time getting to know our wonderful new children and their families. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon—it was a joy to see so many smiling faces, and I am so excited to welcome you all to our school community.

I look forward to seeing our newest learners grow in confidence, make new friendships and begin their exciting journey with us in August.

Active Anita’s in town 🤸‍♂

This morning, St Andrew’s was visited by Active Anita to celebrate the WOW achievements of our active travel! The children had pictures taken with Active Anita and could choose prizes and stickers. Fantastic work everyone.

Before we break up for the summer, please can you help us to help others, by filling our food donation bin?

The Foodbank at Church is running very short of supplies and have asked if we can support them. If you have a tin of soup, packet of biscuits, box of cereal etc. you'd be willing to donate, we know they'd be really grateful.

Thank you in advance for all your kindness and support.
