On Wednesday, two members of our School Council were invited to the opening ceremony of the UK’s first Electric HGV site at Magna Park. The purpose of the visit was to bury the one of the time capsules which contained work created by all of the pupils at Claybrooke. Well done to both of our councillors for representing the school exceptionally well. They even left with a goody bag!

Thank you to everyone who came along to our first Topic showcase of the year this afternoon. It was fantastic to see so many of you come along to visit each of the classrooms to see first hand some of the exciting learning taking place. In Willow Class there was a variety of Art activities on show as well as examples of provision for our Reception pupils. In Maple Class they were showcasing some of what they have been learning in their Music lessons. It was great to see lots of audience participation during the body percussion part of the showcase! In Oak Class the children were showcasing their latest PE skills in badminton.

In Oak, we have started a new Science topic - Properties of Materials! We have explored flexibility and looked at mixtures. So far, we have carried out investigations to compare different materials and observe how they behave. We have also explored solubility and investigated which materials dissolve in water 🧪

Unfortunatly our internet and phone lines are down at school currently. This appears to be a wider Claybrooke village internet issue.
