These simple wooden blocks and textured roads offer endless opportunities for learning and discovery. There is no right or wrong way to use them and children can build, create, imagine, and explore freely.

As they play, they are developing concentration, problem-solving skills, creativity, coordination, and spatial awareness, all while having fun. The different textures encourage sensory exploration and curiosity, helping children learn through hands-on experiences.

The beauty of Montessori didactic materials is that they allow children to become their own teachers.

Here, a rising 2-year-old is exploring the Knobbed Cylinders, developing concentration, coordination, visual discrimination, and problem-solving skills.

The material is self-correcting, she can recognise and correct her own mistakes, building confidence and independence with every attempt.
