The School Council had a wonderful day at Whipsnade last Friday. They spent time making bee homes using bamboo and string and thoroughly enjoyed the activity.
Their stall was decorated with bee posters that they had researched and created before travelling to the zoo. These eye-catching posters encouraged members of the public to visit the stall, and many people stopped by to learn more, have a go at making a bee home, and take one home with them.
The children were enthusiastic, confident, engaged brilliantly with the visitors. The zoo staff were extremely supportive and helped make the experience even more enjoyable.
They had the opportunity to explore the zoo and see the animals. Once again, they demonstrated exceptional behaviour and were excellent role model for our school.
Well done, everyone! We are very proud of you all.

We are so proud of Thomas in 1D! He has achieved his stage 2 swimming award, he particularly loved doing rockets in the water and said he went really fast. Now he is looking forward to completing his Stage 3, well done!

On Friday 5th June, our choir took part in Luton’s Singing Spectacular. They had worked incredibly hard to learn all of the songs and medleys and, on the day, they also learned a range of tricky actions to accompany the performances.
The Singing Spectacular Choir was made up of children from ten schools across Luton, who came together to sing their hearts out in an evening performance for friends and family. It was a fantastic experience for all of the children involved and a wonderful occasion for the audience.
The children from Leagrave Primary School were impeccably behaved throughout the event. They knew all of the words and sang beautifully, representing the school brilliantly. It was a pleasure to be there with them and, once again, I was incredibly proud of our choir and your children. Well done to everyone who took part!

Our Year 5 Curriculum Corner assembly is taking place this Thursday at 2.30pm. The children have worked very hard to produce a brand new assembly all about the Ancient Egyptians. We hope to see you there.
