Leagrave Primary School 2024

Year 1 had a lot of fun exploring levers and pivots today. They created a moving animal picture using a lever. Some involved a monkey jumping from one tree branch to the other and some had crocodiles jumping out of the water! They were great and the children had a lot of fun making them.

Thank you Gardening club. The flowers have now bloomed, adding lots of colour and the strawberries and tomatoes are growing well.
Thank you to everyone who has helped care for our plants - your hard work is really paying off!!

Yesterday, Year One had the exciting opportunity to take part in a dance workshop by the Royal Ballet and Opera. It was called "Alice's Adventures" and took children on a journey through Alice in Wonderland using the use of dance. The children loved being creative with their dance moves to help share the tale.

On Tuesday evening, our school hall was transformed into a spectacular party venue for the Year 6 Prom! It was the perfect way to celebrate our year 6 children as they prepare for their next big adventure at high school. They arrived looking spectacular, dressed in their finest party wear. They thoroughly enjoyed a meal together, followed by an evening of singing, dancing and lots of laughter.

What a way to close the chapter on their primary school years! This week, our incredible Year 6 pupils absolutely blew us away with their sensational production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The children delivered a performance worthy of the West End! The singing was pitch-perfect, the choreography was electric, and the acting was sensational - many proud tears were noticed in the audience! The children worked incredibly hard in the lead up to the final performance and everyone is so proud of them. Well done, Year 6!

What a lovely treat for our School Council! They enjoyed a delicious ice cream with a selection of tasty toppings from our brand-new ice cream machine. Our School Council have worked incredibly hard this year, planning and delivering a variety of fundraising events to raise money for new learning resources at Leagrave. As a well-deserved reward, they were the first to try out the new machine. Well done to all of you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication. You are all amazing!
