Last week we hosted our third Outreach training session with colleagues from schools across the local authority, focusing on Expressive arts experiences for SEND learners.

The aims of the session were to develop attendees understanding of how expressive arts can be used to support children’s interaction, engagement, and communication. Using the arts to support children’s regulation and to develop their early phonic skills.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a thoughtful and engaging session!

As part of our topic 'people who help us', KS1 were lucky enough to have a visit from a fire engine! The children enjoyed using the hose and spraying the water. We also heard the sirens and watched the lights flash. Thank you to White Watch from stopsley fire station for visiting!

Attendance Matters: Routine supports regulation.

Children with SEND often thrive on predictable routines. Daily attendance helps reduce anxiety and builds stability.

Did you know? A consistent sleep and wake-up routine can make mornings much easier for children with additional needs.

Before Christmas our signing choir performed at Luton airport as part of their Christmas performance schedule. They performed in the departure area for passengers travelling through the airport. There were lots of smiling faces from everyone that passed by. During our performance airport volunteers collected donations towards their charity partners Tokko Youth Hub and National Literacy Trust. Our group raised £260.36.
