Dear Parents/Carers,

I am thrilled to share some exciting news about our recent Early Years Ofsted Inspection which took place in the 0-3s unit on the 27th of January with you. It gives me great pleasure to inform you that Grasmere Nursery has been rated "Outstanding” in all four categories of the Ofsted Framework, and I am delighted to share the specifics of this success in the attached report.

This is a fantastic achievement that highlights the combined efforts of our devoted staff and Governors, incredible children, and supportive parents and carers. The "Outstanding" grade from Ofsted reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire school community.

While we are pleased with the rating, we recognise that there is always room to further develop and grow in our improvement journey.

Today is World Prematurity Day. In support of this important cause, we invite all the children to come into nursery dressed in purple to help raise awareness for premature babies and their families.

Toady is Children in Need Day, and we’re excited to support this incredible cause together! It's a fantastic opportunity to show our children the importance of kindness and giving back to those in need.

Grasmere Nursery School takes Mental Health and Wellbeing very seriously. World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10 October. This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health.

October 1st 2024 marks the beginning of Black History Month, widely regarded as one of the most prominent cultural celebrations of the year. Honouring the contributions made to society by people of Black heritage and their communities, Black History Month is a time to educate and enrich the world with the importance of Black history

We planted a rose in our community garden promoting peace and social cohesion.
Thank you to our councillor Azizul Ambia, the charity Am Giving Back, the Luton North Inner Wheel Club, high Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Luton Council community development officers, and community members.
