Another fantastic week of celebrations at The Linden Academy! 🌟🐻
A huge well done to all of our Stars of the Week for their hard work, kindness and positive attitudes 👏⭐

Congratulations to Blossom Class, who were our attendance winners this week with an impressive 98.2% attendance! 🙌📚

We also celebrated our brilliant Times Tables Rockstars and Numbots winners 🎸🧮, with a special shout-out to Divyansi P in Year 1 for earning an incredible 150,765 coins this week 🤩

Well done to Phoenix House, who are currently leading both the weekly and termly totals 🔥🏆, and congratulations to all of our Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum House Point award winners this week – we are so proud of you all! 💙

Our Easter bonnets deserve a space on our Facebook wall even if it is a little late! We had some fabulous entries into our Easter bonnet competition; a lot of creativity and design went into these! Well done to everyone who designed a bonnet...same time next year?

Wow! Celebration Assembly really was full of awesomeness this week! 🤩

We had some excellent attendance from all winning classes this week, but HAZEL class were really celebrated for achieving 💯% attendance 👏! Well done to all of the children in Hazel; being in school every single day will have enriched you so much!

We also celebrated Blossom, Rowan and Elder for being the most punctual classes in school. This means children in these classes were in school on time each day, meaning they did not miss out on any valuable teaching time, social interactions or important messages that were delivered! Well done, all of you! 🙌

There were a lot of House Badge winners, with many children starting to achieve their Gold Badge, which is wonderful! 🥳

A huge shout-out to Kieran and Vivaan, who have already reached Platinum, which is exceptional 💫💫! They will experience a surprise treat in July along with any other Platinum winners!

Today is our postponed Red Nose Day. Your child is welcome to wear something red or come head to toe in red for a £1 donation!

On Wednesday 22nd April, The Linden Academy was delighted to welcome a very special visitor to the school. Zehra Hayden, a newly published author, visited to share her wonderful story, The Wishing Tree. The story carries powerful messages about bravery, hope, peace and kindness, accompanied by beautiful illustrations that were shared with the children during her visit.

Zehra led two assemblies, as well as a workshop with pupils in Years 3 and 4. During the workshop, the children created their own wishing tree alongside Zehra and shared thoughtful wishes for the wider world, including “I wish for everyone to be kind,” “I wish for everyone to be strong and loved,” and “I wish for all countries to be safe.”

The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it was truly inspiring for them to hear about Zehra’s journey as an author and the inspiration behind her writing. We look forward to welcoming Zehra, as well as other authors, back into our school in the future.

We have lots of great activities planned for our After School Club and it's looking super exciting!
