With England playing today, everyone is welcome to swap their gi jacket for their favourite football shirt at training tonight.

People often see the gradings, the medals and the belts…

What they don’t always see is the impact karate can have beyond the dojo.

Last night I was given this beautiful card and a thoughtful gift from one of our families as they leave JKS Luton.

The truth is, teaching karate has never been just about punches, kicks or black belts. It’s about believing in children, helping them grow in confidence, watching them overcome challenges, and being a small part of their journey.

Knowing that we’ve made a difference to a child’s future is worth more than any trophy or achievement.

To Esma and her mum, thank you. Your kindness, generosity and heartfelt words mean more than you’ll ever know.

🥵 I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned the hot weather this week! 😅

Despite the heat, we still had a great session tonight. Plenty of water breaks, plenty of sweat, and plenty of effort from everyone who trained. 👊🥋

Huge credit to all our students for turning up and giving it their best in tropical dojo conditions! 🌡️🔥

See you at the next class… hopefully with slightly less melting involved. 😆
