Something we do not talk about enough: we run the CSCS course too.

If you want to work on a construction site in this country you need a CSCS card, and for most people starting out that is the Green Labourer Card. The knowledge requirement for it is the Highfield Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment.

That is what this course is.

It is online and self-paced - four to six hours, start whenever you like, no fixed dates and no need to take a day off work. It covers legal responsibilities, health and welfare, general site safety, high-risk activities, safe manual handling, working around plant and machinery, and teamwork and communication.

£225 covers the Level 1 Award certificate, your CSCS exam, the exam booking here in Luton, and help with the Green Labourer Card application itself.

The SIA lets you renew from four months before the expiry date, and you need the refresher qualification behind you before they will process it.

Tomorrow is the last day at £280.

Door Supervisor, Luton, Monday 21 to Monday 28 September. £280 instead of £350 until the end of Monday. From Tuesday the same course is £315.

It is the bank holiday, but booking is online, so the deadline makes no difference to anyone.

Six weekdays, weekend off, 9.30am to 4pm. The Highfield Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry - four units, four exams, and the practical physical intervention assessment. Training is limited to 12 spaces.

The 4 to 11 September date is also at its early rate until tomorrow, £332.50 instead of £350, if you would rather start sooner.

On first aid, because it catches people out: the SIA requires a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate before you can sit the course. If you already have one there is nothing extra to pay - we deliberately do not build first aid into the headline price, because that would mean charging everyone for something plenty of people already hold. If you do not have one, we add ours to your booking for £95. It has to be the regulated classroom qualification; an online first aid certificate is not accepted for an SIA course.

The licence itself is a separate £204, paid to the SIA rather than to us.

Two days left at £280.

The Door Supervisor course running Monday 21 to Monday 28 September is £280 instead of £350 until Monday. From Tuesday it is £315.

Six weekdays, the weekend off in the middle, 9.30am to 4pm at 33 Park Street West.

What the six days actually contain: working in the private security industry and the law around licensing; searching, drug awareness, queue management and working with the emergency services; conflict management and de-escalation; and physical intervention, which is the practical one, on your feet, and it is assessed. Four Highfield examinations and the practical assessment at the end of it.

Pass and you hold the Highfield Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry - the qualification you must have before the SIA will consider a front line licence application. It covers you for security guarding work as well as door work.

Training is limited to 12 spaces.

You will need to be 18 or over, bring original photo ID, have English at around B1 / Level 1, and hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. If you do not have one we add ours at £95 - classroom, not online, because an online certificate is not accepted for an SIA course.

The licence is a separate £204, paid to the SIA rather than to us.

Tomorrow is the last day at £285 for the CCTV course starting Tuesday.

1 to 3 September, three days at our Luton centre. From Saturday it is back to £300, and the next CCTV date after this one is not until 28 October - so if September does not work you are waiting the best part of two months.

It is the Highfield Level 2 Award for Working as a CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance). Three days of classroom and practical training, all the Highfield examinations, the practical assessment, learning materials and your certificate.

CCTV suits people who want into the security industry without standing on a door. Local authority control rooms, shopping centres and retail parks, transport networks, hospitals, universities, business parks, stadiums, data centres and private monitoring stations all run licensed operators.

There is no physical intervention module and no first aid requirement, which makes it the quicker route in. You need to be 18 or over, bring original photo ID, and have English at around B1 / Level 1 standard. Training is limited to 12 spaces.

Thursday and Friday, two days, 9.30am to 4pm in Luton. After tomorrow the same course is £193.50.

If you hold a front line door supervisor licence and it expires within the next four months, this is the qualification the SIA wants behind your renewal. You can apply from four months before the expiry date - and if you let it lapse completely you are looking at a new application rather than a renewal, which is a slower and more expensive road.

Highfield assessments including the practical physical intervention assessment, materials and your certificate are all in the price. Training is limited to 12 spaces.

Today is the last day at £172 for the 15-16 September refresher.

From tomorrow the same two days are £193.50. Nothing changes about the course - the early booking rate is set purely by how far ahead you book, and today is 21 days out, which is where the 20% stops.

Two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9.30am to 4pm at our Luton centre. Highfield assessments including the practical physical intervention assessment, materials and your Highfield certificate, all in the price. Training is limited to 12 spaces.

You will need a current or recently expired front line door supervisor licence, original photo ID on the first morning, and a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.

If 15-16 September does not work for you, 17-18 September is still £172 until Thursday.

If your SIA badge runs out in the next few months, your renewal window is already open.

The SIA lets you renew from four months before the expiry date, and if you hold a front line door supervisor licence you need the refresher qualification behind you before they will process it. Leave it too late and you are off the door waiting on paperwork.

We have three refresher dates in September, all two days, all currently £172 instead of £215:

15-16 September - book by Tuesday 25 August
17-18 September - book by Thursday 27 August
29-30 September - book by Tuesday 8 September

Those dates are when the early booking rate steps down, not when the course fills. After each one the same course is £193.50.

The £215 covers the training days, the Highfield assessments including the practical physical intervention assessment, your materials and your Highfield certificate. Training is limited to 12 spaces.
