Yesterday the P6/7 boys played out an ‘In House’ tournament as their last training session of this Term with the ’Blue Team’ taking home the honours in a tightly contested final.

It’s been a great block of coaching for these boys and we’ll look forward seeing them again in the New Year.

To celebrate Maths Week Ireland (14-22nd October), all classes participated in fun Numeracy activities linked to Art.

After 34 years of Service in St. Anthony's, our Unit Catering Supervisor, Pauline Judge, has decided to hang up her apron!

To mark this occasion we had a celebration and a presentation for Pauline.

Pauline has worked with every principal since St. Anthony's opened it's doors in 1969. She has worked tirelessly over the past 34 years to ensure that our pupils receive a delicious hot meal every day. Her attention to detail and her kindhearted nature towards our children has been second to none.

Pauline, you will be greatly missed by staff and pupil alike.

We all wish you many years of health and happiness to enjoy your retirement. Thank you for all of your hard work over the past 34 years.

This week the pupils in St Anthony's are looking forward to taking part in biology lessons to celebrate Biology Week 2023.

Our Eco Club were busy planting, weeding, raking leaves and painting today.

The school is looking beautiful.

Yesterday our boys and girls took to Eire Og to compete in the Large Schools North Armagh League section. In what was a difficult day for playing football the boys and girls represented their school well and played some great football throughout the day. With four schools competing and the top two advancing to the semi-finals it was always going to be a tough day for both teams.

Unfortunately for the girls they just missed out on making it through however the boys advance to the semi-finals after winning two and drawing one game. Well done everyone! We wish the boys the best of luck in the next round! 🔵⚪️

Our P7 and P6 children enjoying their time at the first ever St Anthony’s Book Club.

They are currently reading The Thirteen Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton, and working on an accompanying activity booklet, which they can colour and design.

Today our Eco club was very busy collecting litter and staining our wooden structures to protect them during the winter months.

Our eco club had a busy afternoon learning about different types of floods and flood defences.

They carried out an experiment to see which material protected the houses from flooding.

Congratulations again to our P1 teacher and Girls football coach, Miss Doyle, who helped St. Mary's, Granemore win the Arnagh Intermediate Football Championship.

This is Aileen's 7th county title for her club in both football and camogie. She goes for her 8th next week in the County camogie final.
