"Piglet?" said Pooh.
"Yes Pooh?" said Piglet.
"Do you ever have days when everything feels... Not Very Okay At All?
And sometimes you don't even know why you feel Not Very Okay At All, you just know that you do."
Piglet nodded his head sagely. "Oh yes," said Piglet. "I definitely have those days."
"Really?" said Pooh in surprise.
βI would never have thought that. You always seem so happy and like you have got everything in life all sorted out."
"Ah," said Piglet. "Well here's the thing. There are two things that you need to know, Pooh.
The first thing is that even those pigs, and bears, and people, who seem to have got everything in life all sorted out... they probably haven't.
Actually, everyone has days when they feel Not Very Okay At All. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
"And the second thing you need to know... is that it's okay to feel Not Very Okay At All.
It can be quite normal, in fact.
And all you need to do, on those days when you feel Not Very Okay At All, is come and find me, and tell me.
Don't ever feel like you have to hide the fact you're feeling Not Very Okay At All. Always come and tell me. Because I will always be there."
I see you.

Another satisfied client. π I β€οΈ my job!
Most of us spend a lot of time inside our own minds - worrying about the future, replaying events in the past, and generally focusing on the parts of life that leave us dissatisfied
Whilst common, negative or unwanted thoughts can prevent you from enjoying experiences, distract you from focusing on what's important and drain your energy.
Some people experience negative thinking and do not know how to deal with stress and anxiety β this can often heighten the negative thoughts.
This is because, when you are stressed or anxious, you are more likely to see the negative side of things and think of worst-case scenarios.
Many years ago, I was diagnosed with 'GAD' - known as Generalised Anxiety Disorder as I worried about everything and nothing...
Nowadays - I won't say that I am always anxiety free... but I am more easily able to cope with and deal with any of those anxious thoughts if they come into my mind.
Would you like my TIPS on how to deal with negative thoughts?

Over the last few days weβve had some difficult decisions to make. Our customers and our staff are the most important thing to us and thatβs why these decisions are so hard.
As a family run business our staff and their welfare are paramount to the business. We also strive to make sure our customers are treated as if they are family, ensuring our levels of service never falter as we focus on a sector of society where it is most important. As a financial service provider our staff are officially classed as key workers to ensure that we can continue to meet the requirements of the FCA and other regulatory bodies whilst maintaining our customers insurance needs.
We have taken extreme measures to protect our staff and can assure you that we will operate as close to normal a service as possible but this isnβt business as usual.
We still need to able to provide the same customer support, process customers claims, offer renewals and continue with many other essential aspects so we have put steps into place to ensure that as many of our staff as possible are working from home. Including implementing a new phone system has allowed this to happen as easily as possible.
Phone Lines
We have provisions in place so that our customer service team should run as normal. There may be a small increase in wait times due to lower staffing levels however you always have the facility to leave a voicemail or drop us an email and we will call you back.
Emails
All emails should be answered as normal, bear in mind that some specific staff may not be working or working from home so delays may happen. For team email addresses see our Contact Us Page.
Breakdown Recovery
For those customers who need recovery rest assured all of our agents will be working as normal to keep you mobile.
Legal Helpline For Employers
Our legal advice teams will be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to make sure your employment needs are met. For specific advice related to COVID-19 employment issues, see our guide or refer to the government website.
Post
We are not expecting any delays in posting information to you as long as the postal service is running as normal. This is a perfect opportunity to have all your information emailed to you - give us a call or log into your customer portal and tick paperless.
Portal and online systems
All of our regular systems will be working as normal without interruptions. Policies can be renewed online on your customer portal, and donβt forget you also have access to The Premier Club Rewards free of charge.
Claims
If you suffer an accident or breakdown there is no need to worry as claims will continue to be handled as normal on the current claims line. Bear in mind that repairs are normally carried out by your local mobility shop, so if they have closed or their working hours are affected we will look at other options to get you up and mobile as soon as possible.
Business hours
The office will be open as normal, however visits to our office are not currently available.
9:00 - 5:30 pm Mon β Fri
9:00 - 1:00pm Saturday
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you well during these turbulent times. Mark Bates Ltd is committed to our customers and will ensure that we are here for you when you need us.
Warm regards and stay safe
Mark Bates
