Our week started with a visit to Carlton Marshes. We explored the nature reserve listening and looking for birds, we also spotted the cows grazing on the marshes.
Tuesday was 'Wild Wild West' week at Lil Beatz. We dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls, rode our horses and waved and swished our cowboy scarves. 🤠
We enjoyed a calm morning of stories and play on Wednesday at The East Point Pavilion with The National Literacy Trust. We listened to the story of ' What the Ladybird Heard ' 🐞 and looked for the Ladybird on the pages. We joined in making animal sounds for the animals.
And we ended our week with a very wet walk to play in the puddles and at the park. We splashed and jumped and the rain made the slide very slippery and we zoomed off the end, which we all found very funny 🤣.

I took part in an online webinar this week with Sam Wass ( The secret lives of four year olds) on neuroscience. I'm looking forward to completing the 8 session course and learning more about how our little people's brains work.
And on Saturday I'm going to be attending ' Baby Music and sensory play' conference with Helen Batterley.... I've got to take a spare pair of socks so I think it's going to be an interesting one 🤭🤣.

We've enjoyed another sunny and dry week and we've even managed to have two picnics!🍂🍂

We started our week at Everitts park with our friends feeding the ducks and playing games together. We watched as lots of boats sailed along the broads. ⛵

Tuesday was party day at Emma Wooltorton We danced to party classics like the hokey cokey, the macarana and YMCA. It was so much fun! 🪅🪩

At Melody Makers this week we sang with the scarves and pretend to be frogs jumping and singing lots of frog songs🐸.
And we ended our week with another visit to Everitts park. The squirrels were very pleased to see us today coming to take nuts from our hands.
We collected more leaves for our autumn leaf fairies. And we enjoyed a lovely picnic in the sunshine ☀️.

Sorry for the late post this week...... We've taken Jenson back to uni this weekend and it totally slipped my mind. ❤️

It was great seeing everyone back this week and getting back to our usual routines.
We've started to add a few touches of autumn to the cabin and on dark mornings it's felt very cosy.🍂🍁

We moved and danced to Movie week at Lil Beatz and caught up with friends that we hadn't seen since before the summer.

And on Wednesday we were back at Melody Makers listening to and copying beats and singing familiar action songs.

A broken wagon meant a day close to home on Thursday. We took a slow walk down to fen park for some climbing, swinging and playing with our friends. We stopped to feed the swans, cygnets and ducks before walking back to the cabin.
We planted some daffodils in pots and flowers beds in the garden to hopefully see a beautiful display in the spring.

After lots of emails and a very unhappy Emma we should have a replacement wagon by Monday thanks to Baby centre UK, so should be able to attend our usual groups. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🥳

Let's hope for a smoother, less eventful week next week 🤭

This week we've enjoyed the last couple of days of the school summer holidays with our big friends but also welcomed back our term time friends after a long summer break.
We started our week exploring the woods looking for signs of autumn. We noticed some of the leaves had fallen and were turning brown, we found a few acorns too. All of the blackberries are gone or shriveled. However we did find an apple tree, we picked a few to bring back to the cabin to make a crumble.
After lunch we got creative with flowers in the garden thanks to a special delivery from . We made beautiful flower arrangements and used the petals for making perfume and potions.

Wednesday was our last day with our big friends. We started our day at the park, we walked back along the seashore and stopped for last holiday day ice creams 🍦😋.

And we ended our week with a windy walk to pakefield. We saw the horses on the beach, the sheep at the church, and watched a speedy boat on the sea. We spotted lots of love on our walk too!
When we got back to the cabin we celebrated a special birthday with our friend, we sang happy birthday and all shared some birthday cake. After lunch we made apple crumble together for our afternoon snack.

And finally.... WE’VE GONE FACELESS📸 you may have noticed that the last week of stories on our social media pages have all been faceless and here’s why…

Facebook and Instagram has always felt like it was for the families of the children I care for or prospective parents and we often shared the little people's smiley faces; however it is my job to keep our little people safe and after recent events involving pictures being taken from school websites and manipulated by AI, I have made the decision to go faceless on all future social media posts.

We will continue to share what we have been up to on our page and you will still see their smiley faces on their tapestry learning journeys,but this will be balanced with keeping the children’s faces off all our social media from now on. ❤️

And in the blink of an eye it's September!

It's been a very short week back for Emma while Christine is still away on her holidays.
We played at the park, went on a Gruffalo hunt in the woods and made apple and blackberry crumble to share together .

It was also a last day for one of our little people before starting big school in September!
We're all going to miss you so much! You've given us all so many wonderful memories 😭❤️ ......But he has left us with a new cushion that we can squish whenever we need a hug.

Week 4 of the holidays has been a blast!!!

We started our week with a visit to the beach. We took our buckets and spades and met our friends for digging, building and making art with stones. We even found some chalk that we used to draw with on the sea wall.

On Tuesday we met Averi at Everitts park for lots of fun! Everyone was so pleased to have their big friend with us. We danced, sang, hugged, painted, built and even got very messy at the foam party!!

Wednesday was a much calmer day, with a walk down to the East point pavillion for musical storytelling with the national literacy trust and Xenia on her beautiful harp. We sang the story of Mr Magnolia along with lots of our favourite songs too.

And we ended our week with pilates in the park with Jasmin. We stretched and moved our bodies alongside lots of other families.

We're halfway through the summer holidays already! 😮

We started our week at the beach. It was a beautiful sunny day, we took our buckets and spades and had so much fun. We explored the shoreline for treasure.... as we walked back to the sand we found lots of painted stones. They inspired us to paint our own stones back at the cabin.

On Tuesday we danced, played games and found hidden booked at Everitts Park. (Thank you ). We had a picnic at the park with our friends and danced to music as Andy the clown entertained us all.

At the Pavilion on Wednesday we listened to Xenia play the harp as she sang songs and a story. We joined in singing and copying actions too.

And we ended our week with Pilates in the park with Jasmin. We stretched and moved our bodies as we copied Jasmin and listened to the instructions.
When we got back to the cabin we celebrated a special birthday, enjoyed birthday lunch and played pass the parcel.
I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to resting this weekend! 😴😴😴😴
