Week 4 of the holidays has been a blast!!!

We started our week with a visit to the beach. We took our buckets and spades and met our friends for digging, building and making art with stones. We even found some chalk that we used to draw with on the sea wall.

On Tuesday we met Averi at Everitts park for lots of fun! Everyone was so pleased to have their big friend with us. We danced, sang, hugged, painted, built and even got very messy at the foam party!!

Wednesday was a much calmer day, with a walk down to the East point pavillion for musical storytelling with the national literacy trust and Xenia on her beautiful harp. We sang the story of Mr Magnolia along with lots of our favourite songs too.

And we ended our week with pilates in the park with Jasmin. We stretched and moved our bodies alongside lots of other families.

We're halfway through the summer holidays already! 😮

We started our week at the beach. It was a beautiful sunny day, we took our buckets and spades and had so much fun. We explored the shoreline for treasure.... as we walked back to the sand we found lots of painted stones. They inspired us to paint our own stones back at the cabin.

On Tuesday we danced, played games and found hidden booked at Everitts Park. (Thank you ). We had a picnic at the park with our friends and danced to music as Andy the clown entertained us all.

At the Pavilion on Wednesday we listened to Xenia play the harp as she sang songs and a story. We joined in singing and copying actions too.

And we ended our week with Pilates in the park with Jasmin. We stretched and moved our bodies as we copied Jasmin and listened to the instructions.
When we got back to the cabin we celebrated a special birthday, enjoyed birthday lunch and played pass the parcel.
I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to resting this weekend! 😴😴😴😴

We started our week with a visit to Carlton Marshes. We followed the arrows along the trail until we got to the big bird hide. We stopped to watch the birds and butterflies, taking photos of things we saw.

On Tuesday we enjoyed partying with Andy the clown in Everitts park. We arrived early so we had time to feed the squirrels, ducks and swans before a picnic lunch to re energise to dance and groove to the music.

We joined the National literacy trust at the East point pavillion on Wednesday for musical storytelling telling. We sang nursery rhymes and joined in with repeating the story in song as Tessa played the guitar. We loved it!!

We ended our week with a visit to the water fountains! We used our bodies and toys to move and redirect the water. We ran through, sat on and pushed the jets of water as we got very wet. There was so much fun and laughter.

We've also enjoyed water play, bike riding, ball games, imaginative play, clay modelling and much more in our beautiful garden too!

It's been a short week here this week as Emma is taking a few days off to spend time with her grandchildren.

We started the week with a visit to Southwold Flower company to go flower picking. We spent the morning in the flower fields learning names of flowers, watching the butterflies and bees and enjoying some lovely time on nature. We used scissors to snip the flowers we wanted and added them to our pots before decorating them to take home for our families. 💐❤️.
We then enjoyed a morning at Everitts Park with our friends. We fed the squirrels, ducks, swans and geese and played games with our friends on the grass. We blew bubbles, played throw and catch hide and seek and sang parachute songs.

We're back next week with a full week of fun and adventures! Xx

We spent the first morning of the Summer holidays in the flower fields .
We arrived and chose our pots, stickers and scissors and headed off into the fields to choose our flowers.
We learnt the names of the flowers and watched as the bees and butterflies flew all around us, we spotted lots of ladybirds too.
Everyone had their own scissors, they snipped the flowers and placed them carefully in their pots. When our pots were full with so many beautiful flowers we decorated the pots with stickers.
I'm sure you'll agree they all look amazing 😍!

It's been a week of lasts as we reached the end of term, and the end of another academic year.

It was the last time at Lil Beatz for Rex as he leaves us for school at the end of the summer holidays. He really is happiest when he's moving and singing so this became one of his favourite things...... especially Rock week 🎸🤟🏼🎸!

We also said goodbye to Averi this week with a tea party filled with all of his favorite snacks! We had music and bubbles and lots and lots of cuddles
Everyone loves Averi, he has the biggest heart and kindest soul and we will miss him so so much. But we've planned school holiday catch ups so we can all stay in touch❤️

Our week ended with a lovely surprise as Emma won a yummy box of brownies from Amanda Janes Brownies, after being nominated by some of our families and childminder colleagues ❤️.

We'll still be adventuring through the holidays and look forward to a summer of making memories ❤️

This week has been another hot one on the east coast!! Even the sea temperature felt warm🤭.

We have loved playing at the beach this week. We've taken walks along the seashore and spotted gooseberry jellyfish and moon jelly fish washed up on the shore. We cooled off dipping our toes in the sea and enjoyed a yummy ice cream treat 🍦😋.

We danced our socks off at Lil Beatz for circus week. Using our dancing canes, walking the tightrope and practicing our circus skills 🎪.
And at Melody makers we used the scarves and parachute to stay cool while we sang .

And we have been so grateful for the shade of our garden this week. We've poured and filled, squirted and splashed with water. And we've used the pipes and tubes with so much imagination, creative thinking and lots of trajectory play.
We've built up the strength in our hands playing with clay, and created amazing pictures with chalks.

It's been an amazing week of learning and exploration and we can't wait for more next week!

How is it July already!!!

We've loved being outside all week enjoying the wonderful weather ☀️☀️.

We started our week with a walk to Everitts Park. We fed the squirrels, ducks, geese and swans. We also saw a mummy duck with nine ducklings 😍. We enjoyed playing on the play park with our friends and a picnic lunch in the sunshine before walking back. We spent the afternoon in the shade of the garden, watering the vegetables and watching a baby robin😍.

Tuesday was Lil Beatz- When I grow up. We danced to songs about being a doctor, builder, racing car driver and a spy! On our walk home we had lots of conversations about what we'd like to be when we grow up too!

On Wednesday we limbered up our singing voices for Melody Makers. We sang lots of action songs with the little mouse and tapped out rhythms with the wooden claves. We enjoyed another afternoon in the garden working on our football skills reading for the England match and went on a bug hunt. We found a centipede and lots of woodlice in the bark. We also checked if our friends liked butter by holding a buttercup under their chins to see if there was a yellow glow💛

And we ended our week with a walk along the seashore to our favourite park. On the way we saw the baby kittiwakes had hatched at the pier, they were very fluffy! When we got to the park we climbed on the pirate ship and had to look out for the sharks in the water 🌊🦈!

We were sticky and clammy but we found the shade and the cool outside❤️

We visited the beach and were very grateful for the cool breeze coming off the sea! We visited the two sculptures on the sand from the festival at the weekend.
We had a blast at Space week at Lil Beatz!
Went on a safari at Melody Makers!....And we've enjoyed the lovely shade of the garden in the afternoons. We've had water fun, played football (according to the children we only have arsenal players) and we made a saucepan band!

We've had a beautiful week of dry, warm days and soooo much outdoor play!

We started our week with a visit to the park and the beach as the First Light festival is beginning to arrive. We saw the new sculpture arriving on the sand and all wondered what it could be!

We had a swashbuckling time at Pirate week at Lil Beatz on Tuesday. We used pirate swords, flags and light up whips to dance and move. This is only our second term but the children are already learning the moves and words to regular songs and are growing in confidence each week.

Wednesday was Melody Makers day. We tapped out a beat with with wooden claves and sang songs tapping out beats and recognising rhythms.

And we ended our week back at the beach . The stage has arrived and the tractors, diggers and forklifts were busy taking the final pieces of equipment to the tents. We met our friends and enjoyed bubbles and doughnuts on the sand.

We have spent afternoons in the garden looking after our vegetables growing in the beds, bug hunting, building, balancing, riding bikes, making mud pies and playing until we were too tired to play anymore 😴.
