⭐ We are Expanding! ⭐

Scribbles have made the big decision to expand to Lowestoft! We are taking over what once was Seashore Pre-School under the Scribbles umbrella, as Seashore - Scribbles Day Nursery, with a new opening date of the 1st of April (Pending Ofsted).

We will be holding an open day on Saturday 24th February for any families interested in a space, and even prospective staff. We are currently looking to hire various roles, including apprenticeships, for the setting. If you apply to these roles please specify if you're applying for Seashore ⭐

Today has been a very emotional day here at Seashore Day Nursery💔

As a team we would like to say thank you for all your support over the years and it’s been an absolute pleasure for us to take care of every single child that has walked through our doors.

We are going to miss you all and we hope the children’s next adventure is amazing, it’s been lovely watching them grow and flourish.

We couldn’t have asked for a better team and we are absolutely gutted for this to be happening 😔❤️

I hope you all have an amazing new year and once again thank you.

This week in Seashells the children have shown interest in lots of different activities such as mark making, baking and using our home experiences in the home corner. We have been doing lots of mark making with the crayons making our own special pictures distinguishing between marks we make as well starting to recognise simple shapes saying 'star' and 'blue'. We have also been exploring puffy paint using our hands and tools like paint brushes to feel the texture and make marks on the plates.

We have enjoyed making doing some baking this week too, as we made some melted snowman rice crispy cakes, taking it in turns to mix the chocolate and rice crispies together with the spoon. We then added chocolate chips for buttons and chocolate sprinkles to decorate them. The children enjoyed tasting the chocolate too!

In sandcastle and Starfish this week. The children have been enjoying lots of different Christmas activities. They have been learning to use a variety of tools. For all the children to gain confidence and furthering their fine motor skills. They have enjoyed making biscuits and chocolate rice crispy cakes. And doing lots of mark making. We have had a fun week, the children enjoyed Christmas dinner on their last day of our festive season. 🎅🎄 Our children are very excited to enjoy Christmas with their families and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas from seashore nursery. 🎅🎄🌟🤶

This week in Seashells we have been doing lots of fun Christmas activities getting ready for Christmas 🎄🎄
We have been very busy making Christmas pudding rice crispy cakes and some yummy cookies. The children enjoyed taking it in turns to use the spoon to mix the mixture together and watch what happens next. The children enjoyed watching the chocolate melt and decorating their cakes with it. The children enjoyed trying some of their cakes at snack times too!

We have also been doing lots of mark making colouring in Christmas pictures choosing different coloured crayons to use and making our own special marks. We have also enjoyed coming into nursery in our Christmas jumpers and outfits!

This week in Seashells we have been getting into the Christmas Spirit!⭐⛄🎄

The children have been making lots of lovely Christmas gifts for our families to enjoy. We have been exploring paint with the Christmas themed cutters to make lots of different shapes on our Christmas cards, encouraging the children to make their own choices to choose which shaped cutters they wanted to use to make their marks. The children liked to make their marks in different ways stamping the cutters onto their cards seeing what patterns they can make as well as moving the paint around and feeling the paint between their fingers and on their hands,using this to make more marks!

We have also been making some yummy cookies for Santa to have on Christmas Eve ! 🎅 The children enjoyed mixing the cookie mix in the bowl with the big spoon watching it change as adult added the water watching what happened to the mixture as they did it. The children enjoyed taking it in turns to help their adult to spoon the mixture onto the tray ready to be cooked. some of the children enjoyed tasting the mixture too saying 'mmm' and 'yummy'.

This week in Sandcastles we have been focusing and participating in Christmas activities! 🎄 We have been making plenty of Christmas crafts, painting cards and ornaments, and using scissors to cut out our favourite items from the catalogue that we would like for Christmas and sticking it with glue sticks onto our Christmas lists to send to Santa.

We have been reading plenty of Christmas story books such as The Magical Little Sleigh and There's an Elf in Your Book. On Elf Day we coloured in some elf pictures in our favourite colours and it's been amazing seeing all the children come in with their Christmas jumpers since Christmas jumper day. ⭐

Christmas jumper day is this THURSDAY! We will all be wearing our Christmas jumpers to get into the festive spirit and your children are more than welcome to continue wearing their festive outfits up to the festive period 🎄🎅 Staff will also be joining in the fun.

Out last day of term for our term time children is Friday 15th December and we return to nursery on Monday 8th January.

We are just closed bank holidays for our all year round children which is 24th and 25th December and 1st January.
