The Dolphins have had great time in science this week using melted chocolate, raisins and a biscuit to recreate their own version of a road.

How can they not have a good time when chocolate is around???!

The Reception children enjoyed a visit from Reverend Andrea to learn about Harvest. They listened to a story and learnt a new song with actions. The children especially enjoyed pretending to jump in a pile of leaves!

The Nursery children have had an incredible few weeks exploring and learning together. We are lucky the weather has continued to be warm and dry, because we love being outside! The children have been collecting leaves, stones and sticks for our nature table and loose parts. This fluid environment seamlessly creates and connects with all the children. We managed to add in "A bear hunt," walking through the woods - well, sometimes running through the woods because you never know if there is actually a bear in the woods 🐻. Inside the classroom, the children have enjoyed sharing stories and puzzles and natural mark making activities. While at snack time the children made their own feelings faces with different fruits 🍏🍊and pancakes. Mmmm delicious! Well done everyone.

When learning about their favourite things, the Reception children enjoyed using their favourite colours to copy the style of the artist Kandinsky. They created a fantastic piece of artwork together!
The children also enjoyed bringing in their favourite books to discuss and they showed excellent focus when writing their names in their favourite colours.

On a glorious October afternoon, we made our forest skills badges after choosing our wildlife names. Then we explored the the wildlife area seeing what we could find. The den building area was very popular and we found a lot of feathers. We also managed to water some of the wildflower beds.
