As we approach the weekend, a reminder that we are continuing to clampdown on the use of e-scooters across Lowestoft.

Although they are sold in reputable outlets, they also use clear signage stating they cannot legally be used on public roads, pavements or cycle paths, except within authorised trial areas with the landowner’s consent. All road users that motorcycles, mopeds, e-scooters and e-bikes must be used in accordance with the law.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support OpWraxall by reporting concerns and providing information about those involved in antisocial and illegal activity. Your information genuinely helps us make a difference and target those causing issues in our communities.

Officers will continue to proactively target anti-social and unlawful vehicle use, helping to keep our roads and communities safe.

We've just launched our brand new Youth Fund for projects that support young people in East Suffolk!

Co-created with members of the East Suffolk Youth Council, the Youth Fund offers grants of between £200 and £2,000 to eligible projects.

Applications for the Youth Fund grants close on Friday 2 October.

Happening in Beccles today! What do YOU want to see in Darby Park! Come and join us on Wednesday 5th August, 2.00-5.00pm, at Darby Park and share your ideas and suggestion on the re-development of the play area with the team. All young people and their families are welcome to join us and have their say. There will be games and activities for people to join in with. Free to take part and get involved

If you live in Halesworth or in the surrounding villages. are under 18, or have young people at home who are under 18, come and talk about your experiences of being active in Halesworth, try out some new activities and sports, meet local providers and sports club representatives, and help shape future opportunities in and around Halesworth!

📣Last few days remaining!

📢 East Suffolk Council’s Carlton Colville, Kessingland, Southwold and Villages Community Partnership has today launched a new small grants scheme!

The fund aims to support projects that strengthen local ties, enhance wellbeing or improve access and inclusion in the area.

💷 Grants of up to £1,500 are available for:
- Community, voluntary and Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations
- Town and parish councils within the area

East Suffolk Council Community Safety Partnership and Suffolk Constabulary are inviting residents, businesses, visitors and people who work in the Town Centre and Harbour area of Lowestoft to share their views. Please share with friends and colleagues.

With regard to community safety, we want to understand:

- what matters most to local people

- what works well and what would you like to see more of

- what challenges exist and;

- what priorities should be considered for the future.

Your feedback will help us build a clearer picture of people's experiences and inform future partnership work across the area.
