Here is the second goodbye this week 😢💙

Henry joined Puddleducks as such a sensitive and shy little boy, and it has been so lovely to watch him grow into such a confident, happy little boy with so many friends. 🥰

We are so incredibly proud of how far he has come and all that he has achieved during his time with us. 💙

We wish you the very best of luck as you start Reception, Henry! 🎒📚 We can’t wait to hear all about your adventures when you come back to visit us during the school holidays. 🥰

Yesterday we said goodbye to the most smiley, happiest girl! 💕✨

Ophelia is off to pre-school, and although she is leaving Puddle Ducks, we’re so lucky that she’ll still be a regular visitor! 🥰 Ophelia is joining Faith at Cosy Chicks Childminding , who will be collecting her from pre-school three days a week.

You will be very much missed at Puddle Ducks, Ophelia! 🐥💛 We wish you the very best of luck on your next big adventure at pre-school. We know you’re going to have the most amazing time! 🌈🎒

💤 Safer Sleep 2026 Update 💤

We're so proud to say we've made it through our very first week of using sleep mats here at our setting, in line with the September 2026 EYFS Safe Sleep guidance.

Safe sleep is incredibly important to us. Every child deserves to have a restful, comfortable nap in an environment where they can be closely supervised, helping to ensure they sleep as safely as possible.
To help us with this, we're using Gompels sleep mats which have been tried and tested specifically for early years setting. Each child will have a designated sleep mat, fitted sheet and breathable cellular blanket, creating a familiar and hygienic sleep space that's just for them.

One unexpected bonus has been how wonderfully group nap times work! 😴 Having everyone resting together means no one is missing out on activities while others sleep, and once everyone is awake and refreshed, we can make the most of our day with even more play, learning and adventures together. 🌿🎨

A huge well done to all of our little ones, who have adapted so brilliantly to this new routine. We couldn't be prouder of how settled they've been. 💛

And if we're being honest... we're thoroughly enjoying our peaceful two-hour nap time too! ☕🤫💤

☀️ Getting the Summer Holidays Started with Some Summer Fun! ☀️

We’ve had a fantastic start to our summer holiday adventures! 🌼

Monday we enjoyed a trip to the park with our friends Jane Laws - Childminding, while Faith took the babies for a lovely afternoon walk, giving them the chance to enjoy some fresh air and peaceful outdoor nap time. 🍃😴

Tuesday was all about the beach! 🏖️ We had a wonderful walk along the prom, played in the sand, made shapes, and built some amazing sandcastles. With our friends from Whizzpoppers Childminding

Today was all about fruit! 🍓🍍🍇 During our outdoor play, the children made their own fruit kebabs by helping to cut up the fruit, carefully threading it onto sticks, and of course, enjoying every last bite! 😋

To finish our busy morning, Faith gathered everyone together for a story, reading Kitchen Disco, before it was time for lunch and well-earned naps. 📚❤️

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holidays have in store! ☀️🌈

Yesterday we said Goodbye to our gorgeous Mabel. She has been an absolute Delight to care for and she will be missed by us all.

Wow, what a scorcher of a week! ☀️🥵

We’ve been doing our best to keep cool, stay safe and make sure everyone stays hydrated 💧

There’s been lots of fun water play in the garden — splashing, laughing and even getting the hose out to help keep the children cool! 🌊😊

Yesterday we escaped the heat by visiting our favourite toddler group, where the children enjoyed getting creative with playdough and joining in with a lovely sing-song 🎶

Today we visited our friends at Jane Laws Childminding for even more garden fun and water play. The children had a fantastic time playing together and keeping cool 🌿💦
