I am happy to announce now that my ofsted report has been published that I recently had my first ofsted graded inspection where I was graded a GOOD which I am very happy with. I put a lot of time and effort into my setting and children and I am glad that reflected on the day. What a lovely activity this was. If you go into Asda they have a post box in the entrance where you can take some of these pictures. You colour them in, write a message on the back and then take them back to Asda and post them into the letter box. They will then get passed on to the elderly and people who have no family and will be on their own for Christmas. Such a lovely gesture that I hope will make someone smile over Christmas 🎄💫

Hello 👋🏻

So whilst I’ve been MIA on here we’ve been very busy through the autumn and now the beginning of winter. We have lots of fun seasonal activities planned for the next few weeks 😊 last week we made some cinnamon and ginger play dough which turned out great and smelt amazing. We used techniques such as kneading, rolling, mixing, cutting and squashing to name a few.

Playing with bath bombs.

This was a great sensory activity. We could smell the bath bombs, hear them sizzling in the water and watch the water change colour. We spoke about the different textures as the bath bombs dissolved away and the children told me the different colours the water went.

They then went on to use the spoons to scoop up the flowers and transfer them to a little pot which is great for hand eye co-ordination and developing fine motor skills.
