Several students have had the opportunity to take part in both 1-to-1 and small group boxing sessions provided by Ultimate Boxing and delivered by Matt Smith and his coaches. Students have engaged positively throughout, with excellent feedback received regarding their attitude, effort, and participation.

Our U16 Boys and U16 Girls teams represented Sunrise brilliantly at an inclusive football tournament, yesterday. Both teams played with determination, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day, going on to win their respective tournaments and receive gold medals. 🥇🥇

Well done to all the students involved for their fantastic effort and for being outstanding ambassadors for the school. Miss Palmer is already looking forward to the next sporting event! ⚽👏

Six students from Years 5-9 recently volunteered at our Macmillan Coffee Morning and did a fantastic job supporting this important fundraising event.

Throughout the morning, students served customers politely, prepared teas and coffees, handled cakes responsibly, and helped with tidying and washing up. Their confidence, teamwork and excellent manners were on display for all to see, and they received lots of positive feedback from visitors.

We are incredibly proud of the mature and professional way they represented the school while supporting such a worthwhile cause. Well done to all involved for making the event such a success! ⭐👏 Keep watching for an update of how much students managed to raise.

Today we had our Moving into Adulthood event. These are just some of the providers who came to support us. It was good to see parents, carers and students visit the stands, to learn what courses and support are available to them.

KS3 Vocational Learning students rotate to a new course each term, and Miss Palmer’s current Unit 59: Taking Part in Sport group have made a fantastic start to the course. Here they can be seen taking part in a football lesson, demonstrating their current skills and abilities. As part of the session, students self-assessed their performance to identify their strengths and areas for development, helping them to set targets and create improvement plans for future lessons. It has been excellent to see their enthusiasm, effort and engagement so far. Keep up the great work, everyone! ⚽👏
