Something fun for the Summer Holidays!

Sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge in conjunction with The Reading Agency.

1. Pop in the shop and pick up a free booklet
2. Leave your name with our booksellers and an adult's contact number
3. Read a book, or 2 or more!
4. Come back to the shop and collect a sticker for each book you've read
5. Scan the codes for extra online challenges or follow the prompts in the booklet
6. Collect 6 stickers over the summer and get a certificate plus entry into our Prize Draw in September

Note - the books you read can be bought from us or can be library books or ones you already own. Just tell the bookseller the title and what you liked about it.

This is a different challenge to the one the local libraries are doing so you can get a sticker from them and a sticker from us for each challenge! Double the fun.

Thank you very much to everyone who came along this morning for the final session of the Summer Term.
It’s been an amazing year and I’m very sad to be saying Goodbye to some of our Older Ones who are off to Big School in September. We’ve also got a couple of younger ones starting Preschool too.
This does mean we will have spaces in September! So if you have a new baby or a toddler who would love to make new friends, drop us a message and hopefully we’ll see you in September.

ps thanks for all my cards and presents!

I popped in Oliver's Way today to try their cake and have a chat with the owner. I was so impressed by their set-up. The front is a nice cafe with some lovely comfy seats then further back is a large fenced off area with some amazing sensory toys including some spinny seats, beanbags, cosy nooks and a great infinity mirror.

They've also got an inclusive changing area with an adult sized bed big enough for any young person who needs those changing facilities.

There's lots of smaller fidget toys too so if your child prefers to stick close to you then can still relax while they enjoy a snack.

So if you've got a neurodivergent child and want to meet up with friends in a fun, inclusive space this is the cafe for you! You can find them at 99 The High Street, just down from the Triangle Marketplace.

A café with a difference. A safe space for the community, a home away from home. Everyone should feel welcome and comfortable and I want to create a space where children and adults with SEND can be themselves with no judgement.
