YMCA Childcare Water Lane Our Water Lane provision caters for children aged 0-5 years. On a term time only basis between the hours of 8am and 3pm.

We provide stimulating, exciting areas to play in and encourage children to share ideas and gain valuable social and language skills.

We would like to wish all of the children that are starting their next adventure in ‘big school’ the best of luck.

Looking back on their time with us, we couldn’t be prouder of how much they have grown, developed and flourished. From their very first days to becoming the confident, capable and curious learners. It has been a privilege to be part of their journey.

We would love to see how they’re getting on so please send us some photos of your little ones in their new school uniform.

Here are a few snippets from their graduation ceremony at the end of term which will always be a special memory of ours especially dancing along to ‘reach’ with them all. 🥰

We hope all of our families are having a lovely summer and we are looking forward to welcoming you all back from September 7th.

We are working hard behind the scenes enhancing the learning environments to create a more calm and engaging space for children to explore and develop. Is there anyone on our page that has a chunky wooden cable drum like in this picture that could kindly be donated to the nursery to help us with our project? 🤞

The work, effort and passion they all put in to their roles, day after day, makes us so proud of each and everyone of them. So a massive thank you for always supporting the children, families and us. You are our amazing YMCA family. You guys really are inspirational and the best🏆🥰

It finally feels like summer has arrived - yay! We want the children to be able to access the beautiful garden space in this glorious weather safely - so please can we remind you to send your child in after half term with a named bottle of suncream as we want to enjoy lots of garden play with your children 🙂

The children's centre door is being fixed this morning, please can all parents go to the back gate when dropping off. This should all be fixed and the door ready to use by 12noon.
