Thank you to all the families, parents and carers that attended our celebrations yesterday for GCSE results day, especially to all our staff and students who made it such a memorable morning of celebration. We are really proud of all of our students and how hard they worked over the course of the years leading up to their GCSEs.

This year were the best results ever for our academy! 74% of pupils achieved grades 9-4 in both English and maths, with 54% achieving grades 9-5 in both. We are delighted to be in the top performing schools in the county.

We will certainly miss our students, but wish them every success in the future!

SPORT'S DAY 🏃🏅A huge success at Sports Day last week! Amazing effort from all students, brilliant teamwork, and plenty of sunshine.

Our DofE fundraising was a hit — especially Soak the Teacher, which drew big crowds and even bigger laughs. Proud of everyone who got involved and helped raise money for a great cause.

⚽️ A Big Thank You to CB Electrical! ⚽️

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to CB Electrical Jordan and Calvin, for generously sponsoring our brand new school football kits.

As former pupils of the school, it’s wonderful to see Calvin and Jordan doing so well and continuing to support the local community. Their generosity will allow our pupils to take to the pitch looking smart, feeling proud, and representing the school in style.

We are incredibly grateful for their support and for the positive example they set to our current students. It’s always fantastic to see former pupils giving back and helping create opportunities for the next generation.

Thank you once again to Calvin, Jordan and everyone at CB Electrical. We look forward to seeing our teams wearing the new kits with pride.

Following the message in the Principal's Newsletter last week, we wish to confirm that in celebration of the students of the attendance this week, tomorrow, Friday 1st May will be a non-uniform day as requested by the pupils.

Pupils are asked to bring a voluntary £1 donation and can wear their own clothes rather than academy uniform for the day. All donations will be donated to a charity selected by our charities committee.

NORMANDY🇫🇷

Day 5: Today marked our final day of what has been the most memorable week for our Year 9 students.
As we departed the Chateau for the final time this morning we made our way to the official twin city of Norwich. Students had a wonderful opportunity to explore the city and the beautiful architecture and do some last minute gift shopping.
We then departed for our Ferry from Calais as we make our way back to EPA.

On a personal note. Mr Barbor would like to personally thank Mrs Stanton, Mrs Cook, Mr Shulver, Mrs Bond and Miss Layzell for their support and dedication to increasing the cultural experiences of our Year 9 students and giving up a week of your half term break to support. It is truly very much appreciated.
But the biggest thank you goes to all our wonderful students on the trip for making this the most memorable of experiences. Their politeness, humour and continuous kindness shone through with every single second.
We look forward to the next one.

NORMANDY🇫🇷

Day 3: The long anticipated visit to Mont st Michel where students explored and climbed to the top of the abbey, learning about the monastic history of the unofficial eighth wonder of the world. Students were given time to meander the Harry Potteresque streets and try local delicacies.

Day 4: We started with a visit to Caramels D’ISigny where students learned about caramel making process and sampled various options like apple and hazelnut caramels. We then continued our journey to visit Farmer Eric and his 25 goats and their young, 2 Dobermans and one very energetic goose. We then concluded our day with hot chocolates, marshmallows and a roaring campfire.
