we have an off site forest school, amazing opportunities for all children, highly qualified staff, our approach is 100% child centred Lowdham Preschool is charity run by a committee management team including parents and a highly qualified staff team. The setting strives to meet the individual needs of all children therefore has a key worker system and effective planning procedures. The setting's f

ocus is Communication and Language development, Expressive Arts and Design and the Forest school provision that is available, these areas support current legislation of the prime areas of learning 'Foundations for learning'

Polite reminder.

We shall be closed w/c 24th August. We shall be reopening again on 1st September for those children who attend 48weeks and 2nd of September for those who attend term time.

Polite reminder....
For any children attending preschool over the next week and next, please could you apply suncream to your child/children before arriving at preschool.
Remembering sun hats, although we do have a good supply of our own.
We will more than likely be having lots of water play due to the temperatures increasing, so a change of clothing in their bag to enable them to make the most of the fun.

Hello

I am looking for some help. I am on the hunt for a joiner/ carpenter/ general handy person who can help us develop our outdoor area.

A few projects we need are help with are

A mud kitchen, ours have all been fantastic donations and are now showing a lot of wear and tear. Through lots of hours of play.

A stage, our stage area. The flooring needs a repair or replace, we’d also like to possibly extend and add a canopy.

A few other projects in our fantastic garden that would need someone with the expertise to repair and revive.

Our garden is a much loved area of preschool, with lots of hours spent playing in all weathers there.

If you know anyone who could possibly help or give us some advice please point them in my direction. Thank you. ☺️

We are off on an adventure.

Graduation 2026 completed.

I am so unbelievably proud of the children today. They’ve worked so hard on their graduation, from coming up with the pirate theme, to learning songs and speaking in front of their parents.

Tears were shed, mainly by myself! 🫣

A huge shout out goes to all the ladies at preschool, without their hard work and dedication the graduation wouldn’t happen, I can’t thank them enough 💜

Cardboard box day! On Friday 10th July we celebrated cardboard box day. And oh what fun we had.

We let the children’s imagination go wild.

They spent the morning, building, jumping, hiding, kicking, standing and exploring all the boxes.

Then in the afternoon the serious work started, houses were created, a pirate ship, doors, windows, peep holes, stickers and colour were added and some marvellous creations were made.

A few more to highlight the lorry. The drivers seat was the place to be.

We also discovered the Lorry had camera wing mirrors, which the children enjoyed spotting their friends and the ladies walk about the lorry.

What an exciting few weeks we’ve had. On the 6th July one of our lovely parents and her dad brought in a lorry cab for us to explore. The horn was a firm favourite with the children. They explored the cab, asked about every button, saw the bed, the fridge and everything in between.

We compare the size of the tyres to the children, counted how many tyres we could see and did some fantastic climbing into the cab.

We all enjoyed the experience 🚛🚚

We LOVED our first ever family teddy bear's picnic at forest school today. The children spent the morning laying out blankets, putting up bunting and making sandwiches. We all gathered to hear about the children's favourite activities this term then settled down to chat, eat and just enjoy the beautiful, breezy, woodland peace! I don't think any of us were rushing to get back out into the real world! Thank you parents for making the effort to come and share your time with us, it means a lot to the children and us!
