Lift Utterby

Lift Utterby Utterby Primary Academy is a small rural village school and we pride ourselves in being a very hardworking and caring academy.

We are situated just off the A16 half way between Louth and Grimsby. Utterby Primary Academy is in a hard federation with North Thoresby Primary Academy. The academies are about five minutes apart and the children from both enjoy getting together and sharing their learning with each other!

🚴🇬🇧 Help us get Lift Utterby Tour-ready! 🇬🇧🚴

As many of you will know, the Tour of Britain is coming through Utterby on Thursday 3 September – and the route will take the riders right past Lift Utterby School!

It’s a fantastic opportunity for the children to be part of such a major sporting event, with the race broadcast on TV and watched by audiences around the world. 🌍📺

Race day also happens to be the first day of the new school term, so we need to get as much prepared as possible before the summer holidays end.

In conjunction with Utterby Parish Council, there will be a FREE Community Craft Evening at St Andrew’s Church on Thursday 27 August, 5–7pm, where families can help us make colourful, bike-themed decorations to display at the school and around Utterby village. There will be special craft activities for children aged 4+, as well as plenty for older children and grown-ups to get involved with. 🎨🚲

All materials and refreshments are provided, so just come along and get creative!

🚲 We also need old bikes! If you have an unwanted child’s or adult’s bicycle in any condition that we could paint and decorate for the displays, we’d love to hear from you.

📱 For questions or bike donations, WhatsApp 07796 277682.

It would be brilliant to see lots of Lift Utterby families there and make sure our little school looks fantastic when the Tour of Britain – and the cameras – come past! ❤️🤍💙

And just like that, another incredible academic year has come to a close!

As we wrapped up the final week of term, I want to extend a huge thank you to all the local businesses, venues and individuals who helped turn this final week into an unforgettable experience for our Year 3/4 and our Year 5/6 pupils -

Our heartfelt thanks go to:

JE Inflatables & Party Services (bouncycastlehirelouth.co.uk): A massive shoutout to John and his team for coming through once again with the fantastic inflatable assault course. John, your flexibility with timing and your enthusiastic support make working with you so easy - we deeply appreciate it, and if you've never met John he is just the greatest guy!

Lincselite Services Limited (lincsloos.co.uk): Thank you for squeezing that high-quality shower block onto the field! Every single year, I marvel at how you manage to maneuver it into place. Wonderful service.

Bertie's Ice Cream: Phenomenal service from Tim, as always. Thank you for treating everyone to such a delicious summer highlight!

Pizza Paradise (Louth): Top-tier service and mouth-watering pizzas as always—plus, the team even helped carry everything out to the car! What a crew. Thank you!

Cleethorpes Leisure Centre: Thank you for hosting us so warmly. Your friendly staff and fantastic pool inflatable were a massive hit and a brilliant addition to our activity schedule.

Parkway Cinema (Cleethorpes): The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, ensuring a top-notch cinema trip from start to finish.

Cleethorpes Bowl: What a fantastic way to kick off our three days! Thank you for being so accommodating, and especially for your generosity in letting us park there all day.

Oriental Express (Cleethorpes): Delicious food and such warm hospitality—another fantastic feast that the children thoroughly enjoyed!

Back 2 Bear (Louth): An action-packed, exhilarating day! Huge appreciation to the team for putting together such a memorable package of outdoor adventures.

Rand Farm Park: Great venue providing endless activities to keep our children learning, busy and engaged for 2 days straight!

Finally - and most importantly - a massive thank you to our school staff.

Not every school is fortunate enough to have staff who volunteer their time to run these energetic activities and spend the night sleeping over! We are incredibly lucky to have such an extraordinary team across our two schools who work so well together.

Beyond delivering brilliant learning opportunities day in and day out, they consistently go above and beyond to create lifelong, happy memories for our pupils. Thank you, everyone.
