What a fantastic few weeks at Interskill! 🌟

Our Cooking Skills Courses have been a huge success, creating some delicious dishes, from chicken and chorizo tray bakes, pasta and beef bolognaise to cassoulet and fish tray bake, along with plenty of tasty desserts. 🍰

We’ve loved using produce grown in the Interskill garden, including potatoes, tomatoes, raspberries and onions, as well as a generous donation of cooking apples. We’ve made some fantastic apple chutney too!

We’ve also continued to develop our practical and woodworking skills, making sheds,
summer houses, bins storage and planters as well as getting creative with clay pumpkins and bird boxes.

We’ve enjoyed some brilliant days out too including visits to Snipe Dales, Doddington Hall to see the sculptures and Mablethorpe.

A huge well done to everyone for all your hard work, enthusiasm and achievements over the past few weeks❤️👏

Students have enjoyed trips to Brigg garden centre, Willingham Woods, People’s Park, Humberston Fitties and Humberston Yacht Club, making the most of the glorious weather 🌿🌊

In the kitchen, everyone has been working incredibly hard creating delicious dishes including fish tray bake with garlic, coriander and lemon, cassoulet, beef bolognese, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, Italian cornbread, summer berry crumble, baked apples, lemon and ginger cake, layered yoghurt desserts, cheese biscuits and chocolate chip cookies 🍋🍪🍝

Creativity has also been flowing with Father’s Day chocolate bars, medals and cards, alongside gardening projects and fantastic woodwork in the workshop - including even more wonderful sheds and summer houses 🪴🪚🎨
