A reminder that all students return on Thursday 3rd September

As part of BoxClever’s residency at Louth Academy, we are thrilled to announce that they will be delivering a Youth Theatre project involving a select number of students. This will involve you working with the Box Clever team for three one hour sessions each week after school.

During this time you will:
- Explore themes including conflict, friendship, family, identity, loyalty and love
- Create original performance material inspired by A Christmas Carol
- Develop skills in acting, movement and physical theatre
- Gain an insight into the professional rehearsal process
- Share your work with members of the school community at the end of the project

Our revamped inter-house system was an amazing success with students competing throughout the year in a range of competitions in the battle to be crowned House Champions. Students are allocated to one of four houses; Hubbard, Meridian, Mercer or Spire and represent them for the entire time at Louth Academy.

Our new year 7 students will find out which house they will be part of and preparations will begin for this year's competitions

Louth Academy is delighted to announce that BoxClever Theatre will be taking up residency at the Upper site this coming September to rehearse their production of A Christmas Carol in preparation for their national tour. During the residency, GCSE students will have opportunities to watch the actors at work, discuss the thinking process behind the portrayal of characters and contextual issues and watch the company’s final performance of the text
