We encourage independence right from the beginning when children start with us in our baby room all the way through to our Pre-school room.

This can be something so simple such as, giving them a tissue for them to have a go at wiping their own nose before being supported by adults, to buttering their own crackers at snack times.

Independence helps to boost children's confidence, build resilience and encourage communication as well as giving them the skills, trust and safe space to try things on their own.

Our Foxes and Owls have had a fantastic morning at our local library today Lincolnshire Libraries 📚

We are really fortunate that we have a library so close to us to be able to go and experience it. The children really enjoyed their walk to library, choosing lots of different books to look at and being able to colour in pictures too. I think it's fair to say that Peppa Pig was definitely a favourite! 🐽

Today has been a busy day!😀

The Moles have been for a lovely walk to the library this morning, the Badgers have been creating their own flowers with tissue paper and all of the rooms have enjoyed making their own pitta pizzas to enjoy at lunch time!😄

A reminder that term has now officially finished for the summer holidays for all of our term time only children and we will return on Thursday 3rd September. We hope all of our term time only families have a lovely break and we can't wait to hear all about what you have been doing! 😀

We will still continue to be open as usual for our all year round families!😀

🎓🎓GRADUATION 2026 👩‍🎓 🧑‍🎓

Another year has gone by so quickly and we have started to say goodbye to some of our Pre-Schoolers who are leaving us to start their next adventure at big school!

We have loved watching you all grow so much in the time you have spent with us at Town and Country and we are all sad to see you leave but know each and every one of you will go show them what you've got and give it your all! 🧡

Some of our younger babies have really enjoyed exploring the blocks today. 😀

Block and brick play is a valuable activities for babies and toddlers as although it may look like simple fun, it supports their development in many areas.

1. It develops their fine motor skills as when babies pick up, grasp and stack blocks, it strengthens the small muscles in the hands and fingers which then prepares children for later skills such as drawing, writing and using utensils.

2. Builds their thinking and problem solving skills as they begin to learn about the size, shape, balance and cause and effect. It also encourages curiosity and exploration.

3. It encourages languages development when playing with an adult as it provides opportunities to learn new sounds and words.

4. It enhances social and emotional skills as children can begin to share and turn take.

Captain Fantastic - Nottinghamshire & Lincolnshire was back again today for his annual visit for our Pre-Schoolers end of term fun before lots of them leave us for big school soon!

We enjoyed bubbles, snow, tricks, dancing and much more! 🪄

Today we had Super Star Sports join us for our fortnightly sessions and the children enjoyed learning a mixture of some football skills and also tennis skills!

We used bean bags to balance on the tennis racket before making it more challenging and having a go with the tennis balls to see if we could balance those too. 🎾⚽
