And we’re done! 🎉

A huge well done to our Year 6 pupils, who are now enjoying a very well-deserved treat after tackling their SATs this week with determination, resilience and calmness. We are incredibly proud of the mature and positive attitude they have shown throughout the week — they should all be very proud of themselves! ⭐

What a brilliant line‑up of events we have coming up thanks to our amazing Friends of East Wold School!

First up is Go Crazy Day on Friday 22nd May — always a favourite! Children can join in with as much craziness as they like, from funky hair to bright socks, hats, temporary tattoos and more. It’s a fun way to end the week and raise a little extra for school at the same time.

FEWS have also have a fantastic list of events running right through the summer term, including Non‑Uniform for Sweets, Cinema Club, the Summer Fair, and Party in the Park. And of course… keep an eye out for the return of Frozen Fridays!

A huge thank you to FEWS for everything they do to bring our school community together.

And then there were ten… all 10 of our eggs have now hatched! 🐣✨

A few of the little fluffballs have already progressed to the nursery — honestly, they grow up so fast. One minute they’re wobbling out of an eggshell, the next they’re acting like they own the place.

It’s been such a joy watching the children meet them and seeing the excitement build around the school!

🎶 5 little chicks were born one day,
Fluffy and yellow and ready to play…
One shook its wings, one had a peep,
One wobbled over in a sleepy heap! 🐣🎶

Can you believe 5 of our eggs have all hatched already?! So much excitement in Willow Class today 💛

Lots of tiny cheeps, wobbly legs and very proud little faces – what a special moment to share! 🐥✨

I wonder how many more we will get!

What an exciting delivery we’ve had in school today! An incubator full of eggs has arrived, and over the next few days we’re hoping to watch them hatch. A huge thank you to FEWS for funding this brilliant opportunity for our children.

Parents should now have received an email about handling the chicks so that every child in school will be able to take part and enjoy the experience.

And if you look closely… you might also spot a little pot of tiny caterpillars next to the incubator. Willow Class will be watching these grow and transform over the next few weeks — a lovely chance to see the full life cycle in action.

Spring learning at its finest. 🌱🐣🦋

✨ What a magical evening we had with our choir at St James’ Church last night ✨

The children sang so beautifully — confident, tuneful, and absolutely shining. Their behaviour was impeccable too, which made us all the prouder.

A huge thank you to Lincolnshire Music Service for organising such a fabulous event, and to Miss White for all her hard work preparing the choir so brilliantly.

Definitely a night for the memory book 🎶💛
