A little tour of our Sustainability Garden! 🌱🍅🫛

Our garden at Epping Forest Field Centre has been busy growing all summer, and now that autumn is here, it’s time to harvest! 🍂

It’s not just about growing food. The garden is also a great space for biodiversity, with flowers like our zinnias providing food for pollinators 🐝🦋🌼

It’s a fantastic teaching space too, helping students discover how sustainable, nature-friendly gardens can benefit both people and wildlife 🌿

A huge thank you to all our staff and volunteers who spend hours caring for the garden and keeping it looking so beautiful! 💚👏

Nature Art 🎨🌿

This summer, we’ve been getting creative across our teaching sites through a range of crafts, artwork and nature-inspired activities! 🌳🖌️

During our Eco Adventure sessions and Open Days, children and families have been encouraged to explore their surroundings, connect with nature and represent what they have discovered through art 🎨🦋🌼

From colourful creations to artwork inspired by the nature around them, we’ve been so impressed by the creativity and imagination on display! 👏

A big thank you to everyone who joined us this summer and shared their fantastic creations 💚

Surrounded by the sights and sounds of Epping Forest, guests could relax as the evening light faded and the sounds of the woodland took over 🌛🦉

We are always delighted to support local businesses and welcome a variety of events to our Field Centre, making the most of this beautiful setting 🌿💫

We hope to welcome Kirsty back for more events like this in the future! 💚

Two weeks ago, we had a lovely day welcoming our local community to the Field Centre!

Around 150 visitors, including families and children, joined us for a range of interactive activities. These included pond dipping, minibeast hunting, rock painting, nature art and learning more about what we do at the centre 🐸🪲🎨🔍

It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the day and discovering more about the work we do at Epping Forest 🌿
