As the holidays draw to close .. what do teachers and staff do in inset days you may ask? !

This year (tomorrow )we are starting off with fire extinguisher training, followed by allergy and anaphylaxis training. On Thursday we have our annual safeguarding training then talking about our whole school priorities. In the afternoon we are training for our Church inspection !
All ready to welcome our children back to school on Monday !

I love this so much I had to share it! The talented Mrs Jackson has created this small world play area using an old Ikea unit. The children can sit either side of this to play and be transported in to another world! I can’t wait to see it being used by the children. We have added QR codes to each world for the children to scan using the I Pad to take them to short videos, tasks and activities. 🦊

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting Belton Primary school to speak with pupils about my role as their Member of Parliament following their work on courageous advocacy.

I was incredibly impressed by the thoughtful questions the children asked and their enthusiasm for learning about how they can make a difference in their communities. It was wonderful to hear about the projects they have been working on.

Thank you to all the pupils and staff for such a warm welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and was delighted to see firsthand what a brilliant school community you have built.
